Hi Doc! I carry one or two tourniquets and some basic first aid stuff, as I'm sure most people do. I was first on-scene of a nasty car crash a few years ago, (just by chance). One of the victims came close to needing a tourniquet, so I've thought about that ever since. Agree with all your choices, and you've got some things I hadn't thought of. That's why these kinds of videos are very valuable. Always new ideas. Thank you!

I carry a pry bar, fire extinguisher, hacksaw, 2 tourniquets, compression gauze, gloves and burn dressing in my vehicle for extraction/trauma care. Its likely the items will be used on someone in my family, but if I come across an accident first, I know what to do. Channels like this one have helped me understand the best ways to use my equipment.

You have to make sure when recommending a tourniquet that the person will learn how to properly use one. They can actually be dangerous and cause more damage or not be of any affect at all if the user doesn't know what they're doing

I really enjoy all your EMP info, have learned a lot from those videos and am happy to see you branching out to EDC, defense and survival items. This will all no doubt be of increasing interest these days to prepare for SHTF situations. I have built 6 faraday cages for my inverters, lithium batteries, solar controllers, ham radios etc and started wrapping my spare solar panels in aluminum foil (with a barrier in between of course). Also living and licensed in Florida, agree with and practice your 'lead seed' options as well.

Just found you from Canadian Prepper's utube. I've heard that POM is a great pepper spray. I like fox and saber too. I'm glad you have an anti rfid card in your wallet, it's a shame that the kydex wallet doesn't have a built in rfid especially since they sent one to "THE MAN" when it comes to emp and electronic frequencies. Glad you "carry" everyday too. Glad to know you are in the tribe.

I have a wilderness survival pack that I put in a little pouch on my hip from Creek Stewart that has a Mylar poncho, fire starter, and a whistle in the event I get stranded or face hypothermia. I also keep chapstick and eyedrops in a pouch. I also carry an ITC Tactical EDC first aid kit for gunshot traumas.

I saw you on Greyman Prepping and was very impressed, so I subscribed to your channel. As far as EDC, there are a few items you might want to consider. The first would be about a 10' roll of 1" gorilla tape. I mostly used mine with a piece of tissue or alcohol pad to bandage cuts at work, but it has dozens of other uses. A glue stick is especially useful for quick repairs. Since it doesn't dry out like other types of glues, it lasts indefinitely. Next would be a lighter, fire steel, and Fresnel lens set. for the lighter I would specifically recommend a butane cigar lighter. They put out a hotter blue flame than a Bic lighter and the flame will point down into your tinder. You can't do that with a Bic. Mine all have clear fuel chambers, so I know exactly how much butane I'm carrying. A cigar lighter will also work as a makeshift soldering iron although I wouldn't recommend using it on a satellite. Lastly, for now, I would recommend some forms of cordage. If you have really big pockets you could go with 100' of paracord but I found a more practical solution. I carry 100' of 550# braided fish line. It has the same test weight as standard paracord but far less bulk. A short piece of sisal twine makes excellent tinder among other uses. It easily takes a spark from a Fire steel.

You mentioned the weight of the multi tool. The main thing I use my multi tool for is pliers and the blades. So one alternative is a Swiss army knife plus a pair of 4.5" channel locks (tongue in groove pliers) it's _way_ lighter and the mini channel locks are often as good or better than a multi tool needle nose. Especially if you need torque or grip.

Good EDC. 👍🏻 Most of the marketing around RFID for wallets is preying on the fear of consumers for a problem that doesn't really exist. There are many much easier ways for criminals to get access to credit cards in large quantities than trying to scan your wallet, which is not so easy to do. Furthermore, any information they could get is likely not going to be useful as the latest few generations of credit cards are EMV and not susceptible to RFID skimming.

7:40 Where are they made ? For a small flashlight I carry a Maclite Solitair LED, which is made in the USA. (And the bulb is made in Taiwan , not in China ) But now I want to carry two of them so I always have a spare battery. They are essentially AAA battery cases for your keychain. They are also very reliable.

I don't carry pepper spray, but I do carry a Co2 pepper ball pistol. It holds 8 pepper balls, and allows me to keep some distance. I don't WANT to have a 'concealed carry license' for several reasons. BTW? I just went to the TEC Accessories website. I've never seen so many single use and useless items that cost so much in one place. $190 for a dinky ink pen? COME ON!

Any idea if the umbrella would be classified as a club by the police?
@disasterprepper

I doubt it, but you could ask the unbreakableumbrella folks to be sure. Their website says "Our Unbreakable® Umbrella has no unusual parts, no more metal than an average umbrella, it does not arouse suspicion, can be carried legally everywhere where any weapons are prohibited, unlike a walking stick it does not cause strange looks if carried by an able-bodied person, and it does protect from rain. Anyone who can use a stick for defense can use this umbrella."

I gave up on compact umbrellas because most are flimsy; the one you presented changes the game. Thank you! Surprised your wallet is not shielded. That symbol card only protects from one side, doesn't it? Some of your EDC is relatively sizable; why keep a tiny light with presumably very short battery life? Wouldn't AAA or AA light be a better option? Oh, and please don't muzzle your palm, there may be children watching!
