How long do you have between the E1 alert and the E3? Would you have time to go out and disconnect your breakers?

the current stock of FSPD140 or at least the one I got last week has longer wires like FS140. I needed the longer wires for my install and wasted so much time tried to get the old FS140 and eventually gave up and got the FSPD140 and happy to see they too have the longer 30+ inches (I didn't measure, but they are long enough for me) wires too.

Most good gun safes have emp proof electronic locks. If you get enough emp to go through the seams that will be the last of your worries. The safe will be a puddle of metal from the heat blast. 😂

2db is a 58% increase (Logarithmic Scale). Not insignificant increase. I agree that with distance the effect is lessened, but saying a 2db increase is not that much is misleading. (Keep in mind 3db is a doubling in power)

What about a mylar food package (like a big bag of blue dimond almonds) with a ziplock top? Then, wrap it in aluminum foil or a mylar blanket.

Does a surge protector only protect you on the hot leg? Emp can still travel up the neutral or ground..or are there surge protectors that protect everything?

An EMP is the first strike in modern warfare. It shuts down communications, command and control. Expect nukes to hit high value military bases and government facilities within minutes of the EMP. Put on personal protective gear as soon as you figure out that it is an EMP and not something else. Put on dark sunglasses or welding goggles to protect your eyes from the flash. You can be blinded for hours or days up to 40 miles away if you happen to be outdoors and facing the blast. If you are blind you can't help yourself or anybody else. The blast will be the loudest sound you ever heard. It can blow out your eardrums if the blast is within 20 miles of you. Put in earplugs with muffs over them if you are close to a probable target . The flash can set things on fire out to 20 miles. Put on a white cotton hoody and white cotton gloves and a white hard-hat. Keep this gear in a bin in your vehicle or close at hand at home. Keep extra sets for passengers. If you know where you are in relation to a possible target then get behind a solid building, wall or lay down in a ditch and wait for the flash, the blast wave and the earthquake to pass over. That's the immediate threat behind an EMP.

I find you have to go to copper foil and aluminum foil doesnt work especially for faraday bags for phone copper tape with conductive adhesive on a plastic backoutside then covered with tape ontop of that works best there cant be holes in the copper foil layer so it has to be overlapped

What I gather from this, is that it's based off of you not being in the initial blast radius. And that you are now in the path of a cascade event. Because if you are in the blast radius. None of this will help you.

Thank you for the video. I was wandering: in all the video's on how to build your own faraday cage people tell me to put some isolation material inside, so that the electronics you want to kee save do not touch the outside. However, the electronics in a safe are built right into the door and there is quite a big chance that essential and vulnerable parts are somewhere touching or near the metal. What is your opinion on this?

I have a 2024 Tesla Model 3 and it only has one cigarette lighter and I am not sure how easy it is to get to the 12 volt battery. I did email your company before and they said it is safe even for electric vehicles. I feel like an emp pulse is much more damaging to an all electric vehicle. Any chance we could get a video on that?

23:23 Ridge is a rip off, Not only are they almost identical to knock offs but they try to claim a lifetime warranty which they fail to tell people is for only the screws & band. Technically they should be sued for false advertising as they know what they were doing. 25:41 Because of its open face the signals are bouncing around & out the face. Where as Vault jams the signal.

I just put my cans together, making sure to seal all gaps and create isolation from the shell using cardboard. However, in the case of my cell phone, it rings with no issue when I call it while Wi-Fi is turned on. When Wi-Fi is disconnected, it won't ring. Is this an indicator that my cans are insufficient to attenuate the effects of an EMP? Is there anything else we can do to further protect our devices using these cans (I followed the video and used metallic ducting tape to seal all seams and ran a ring of foil around the top to further tie in the lid to the shell)? Thanks!
