Thank you for explaining the enterprise architect role as a leadership and planning position. Your emphasis on aligning biz needs with the technology to achieve long term organizational goals is also spot on. It's about understanding the current state of affairs as well as the future state /vision and putting together the technology roadmap that facilitates sustained biz success.

Appreciate the conciseness of the video and the explanation as to what exactly an Enterprise Architects focus is especially with how often the title of Architect is associated with roles that have very little focus on the overall optimization of the business compared to just a single solution or single facet of a business.

I had a discussion with an Enterprise Architect before and when I asked what exactly they did for work, the response I got was "Business". This was quite ambiguous to me at first, but this video puts everything into perspective. Definitely a great career!

@@rce4651 all organizations have an enterprise architect. But sometimes the enterprise architect is called a chief architect, chief technology officer or chief information officer. Although the company’s that use technology most strategically have enterprise architects and CIOs and CTOs.
