For me its the shits for decades, limited diet. A flare up 10+ urgent trips to the loo (I almost need a gaming console and tv in there). Bloating, extreme night sweats, cramps that write you off for 1-3 days, exhaustion. Lost 20kg in the last 2 years from flare ups and I started off skinny. Solution nil by mouth for a few days only rinsing out the mouth. If I'm a rasin with split lips and skin pulling away from nails it turns off 👍 Other solutions that may work for nearly any issue: A long free fall with a very sudden stop 🤣

I am mostly IBS-C, but for some reason cooked cheese gives me diarrhea, yet ok with uncooked cheese, really odd!? Fatty food has the same affect. I also think I can get backed up, then it all comes out within an hour or so! When that happens, I then don't go for 2-3 days, then it goes back to going most days but difficult to go. Maybe I should eat a little cooked cheese every day to keep me going! Joking aside, it is ruining my life, I work, shop and that's about it. Terrified I will get D somewhere public with no loos around. When the D happens, I get about 5 mins notice of it happening. I don't get pain though thankfully.

Is it possible for weather and climate to cause IBS, since I live in a tropical region, it’s hot and humid all year round and my IBS symptoms occur almost everyday, but recently I went on a vacation to a drier and cooler climate and I stopped going to the toilet as often and started getting less cramps and my stools started becoming more well formed. So I am having this hypothesis that IBS could be potentially caused by inappropriate climate and weather which does not suit one’s body?
@AvogelCoUk
@AvogelCoUk Жыл бұрын
Hello A hot and humid climate can have an impact on IBS symptoms. There are a number of reasons that can cause this. 1. Being in a hot area means we may sweat a lot, which can lead to dehydration. When we don’t drink enough water our digestive system can be affected. Your cramps can suggest dehydration too. Aim to drink at least 2 litres of water a day, and more if you exercise. 2. In hot weather, we tend to eat foods that our digestive system may struggle to digest eg. cold and raw foods. Avoid eating foods straight from the fridge. 3. Heat can cause stress on the body. This can have an impact on the digestive system and can contribute to IBS symptoms. Hydrating the body can lessen the stress. As well as drinking 2 litres of water, include hydrating foods like watermelon and cucumber. Drinking water regularly will support good bowel function, regulate body temperature and replace any lost fluids. Make sure you don’t drink with your meals, though (leave a 20 minute gap either side of food), to avoid weakening your digestive enzymes.

I’m an IBS sufferer, In school, bowel movements aren’t exactly easy, sometimes as bad as not being able to be in class for longer than 15 seconds a time without having to run out of the class, it’s more annoying knowing that there is little to no research nor effective treatments nowadays. The cramps aren’t the problems, the bowel movements and frequent toilet trips are.
