Thank you so very much Mr. Leo. I almost gave completely up. Finding 1 of your video's from a year ago is giving me hope. Thank you so very much for this!🤗

I have often had Windows tell me an external drive I just plugged in was unformatted, even though I know it was formatted and had data on it. I believe the cause may be from "slowly" plugging in the USB drive; Windows detects the drive and immediately starts reading the drive before a reliable connection has been made. I have found that unplugging the drive and re-inserting the USB plug more quickly solves the problem.

You and Liron Segev (another of my computer channel subs) today put out wonderful videos and used terrific analogies to explain some concepts. Must be something in the water, as the saying goes. Thanks.

Thank you, I also looked for CHKDSK the other day. The tips in the video helped me today.

Love your metaphor regarding Streets

Nice analogy. I guess the only item is the streets are laid down as needed. Have you done a video on the details of restoring files from one or more popular backup applications?

Several. Search on my site to find 'em. askleo.com

So if you have a drive that suddenly is corrupt, (chkdsk finds nothing but you know it has data) is it OK to reformat it and use it? Or is it the trash can for it? This is an expensive solid state drive.
@askleonotenboom3 күн бұрын
DO NOT REFORMAT. The video and article have the steps you should take.

@@askleonotenboom The data on the disk is not important. (a few videos) I just want to know if I should risk using an almost new $250 SSD that all by itself crashed.
