Thanks Rick! I have a Z51 with magnetic ride and I prefer having the display "linked to driver mode". It's how I know what mode I'm in without having to look at that little icon at the bottom of the screen! Yes, I'm 60 years old and have bad vision! GM put it there for old guys! LOL!

Looked at a C8 and find that the width of the doors prohibit opening enough for easy access in my garage and tight parking spaces. Funny nobody has talked about this in any review. I think I found a good solution, I bought a cream puff C7 Grand Sport that is low mile and well loved. It looks like the Batmobile.

Hey Rick, I enjoy watching all your videos. I watch a lot of channels and follow the C7 and C8 very closely. One thing I have yet to see and trust me I have searched, is details of the PDR system. More specifically the file format that the PDR uses and the limitations to that file format. The single biggest flaw of the C7s PDR is the Fat32 file format that it uses. I'll spare you the I.T. mumbo jumbo, but essentially it means that the file size is limited to 4GB (Gigabytes). The problem with that is if you are on a road trip and are using the PDR as a regular dashcam then you only get about 90 minutes of record time before the PDR shuts itself off. And no, the PDR is not intuitive enough to automatically turn itself back on. I learned that the hard way when I took a road trip to Montana from Washington. I was wondering if you could use your connections to get answers to two very simple questions. 1. Why in God's name did GM use the Fat32 file format in the first place? That file format has been all but dead since about 2000. Not only that, but Fat32 is never a good choice for high definition video/audio. I have been looking for an answer to this question for 4 years. 2. Has GM switched over to the NTFS file format for the C8? I can't imagine they would continue to use FAT32 with the upgraded PDR that now sports even higher resolution. Maybe you can make this into a future video for us viewers. :) Regards, Adrian R 19 ZR1 owner

Rick - If the exhaust actuators are electric on my ‘17 GS, why can’t I change the exhaust mode unless the engine is running? It would be nice to change the sound from Track to Stealth (in the AM) before I start the car and wake up my wife and neighbors.

I have a great disdain for my Mode Selector 🤬 it seems every time I go to flip one mode I either turn it the opposite way or it does not react. Then I turn it again and really crank on it and it jumps 3 settings to track or weather. It’s by far my #1 complaint on the C7. But hey, if that’s my only beef that must mean I love the car: and I Do 😘

I don’t like it when I have it set up in Touring mode to show my four temperatures and speed then I switch quick to Sport mode and it changes the display on the dash AND the HUD to the stupid Rev counter. Then I have to look down to check my speed, just silly programming. I would pay GM $100 to do an update on that!

That tip is wrong Rick. In tour mode the exhaust will open at 3500 rpm, and will stay close until that rpm is met. In sport exhaust will close at rpms below 1500rpm. Everything else is on point
