I played the 15” bell prototype at the Army Conference in February. It is indeed very free blowing, especially in the lowest register. It took about a minute to put my right hand little finger to sleep and awaken my left hand finger for the side valve. After that I was rocking. Great sound and very comfortable to play. I’m looking forward to trying the 19” bell Elgar. Thanks, Wessex.

This is such great feedback to receive, thank you so much for sharing it with us! It was a pleasure to meet you at the Army Conference in February - we can't wait to get the 19" Elgar Bell model into your hands!

I'm very interested in trying the 'Elgar' with the 19" bell. I'm will someday be cutting back to just one, 'do everything' tuba. This just might be the best candidate.

Will this be at TMEA, possibly in both the 15” and 19” version ?

bit of an off-topic question, but i was looking at soprano trombones with an F attachment, and saw that a few years back you posted one on facebook, and im curious what happened to them as i didnt see them on your actual website, and after a finding a link to it, i was told that the page no longer existed. did it not sell well enough to keep on sale, or what happened? would love to get my hands on one eventually but cant find one thats actaully avaliable sadly

Any plans to make an F version? I'm interested in your Linz 6 valve tuba, but a front action compensating F would be perfect!

I'd be very much interested in the pricing of a handmade version with 19" bell and 4 front-action valves for the right hand. Could you please get back to me?

My first instrument was a front action 3 valve American baritone, followed by a four on the top euphonium, and now I play your British F tuba. I thought it would be a lot harder to switch from using my pinky to my index finger than it actually was. With a compensated instrument, it really is much more natural to have a 3 + 1 layout. Since fingerings below the A are different anyway on a 4 in a row uncompensated versus a 3 + 1 compensated instrument, in my opinion there's really no reason to make a four in a row compensated instrument.

This sounds great!!! BY the way, are you ok with doing a video about the F, Eb, and BBb cimbasso??? ITs my favorite instrument that you sell other than the trombones, and tubas
