the original Droid from Princess Leia it was like supposed to be like a drone. when they made this I don't know if it's like the lightsabers they have a lot of Corporations out there that are making them. and I just got an SOS about one lightsaber and if I said the thing twice I apologize

Just bought this for my daughter. You turn it on by holding your fingers over the 2 small parallel slots in the top center of the droid; you have to hold your fingers there for a few seconds and about 2 seconds later the droid starts moving and chirping. If you do or say nothing more than that it appears to run for about a 2 minute cycle and it will turn off automatically. If you hold your fingers over the same 2 slots for a few seconds (even before the end of the 2 minute cycle), about 2 seconds later it will move and chirp briefly as if saying "goodbye" and then shut down. I do not yet know if the droid moves/chirps in response to noise (speech or clapping your hands) or if the "ON" cycle simply makes beeping/movement randomly during the 2-minute cycle.

Pretty sure it just goes for a couple minutes after you touch it. You can only trigger it that way I haven't been able to activate her with my voice or a clap. I'm not sure how exactly it responds to noise or if it even does.

Its kind of pointless, camera image processing is pretty difficult and generally beyond the capabilities of the kind of SOCs they use for toys.

It is a much better toy than those recently brought to us by Lucasfilm under Disney. It would had been great if it actually floated over a base like a number is other similar size toys but it is nevertheless a good rendition of the original droid! Thanks for the unveiling!

One cool mode is if you remove her from all bases lay her upside down, then her blue light will breathe and pulse and she will try to get you attention for about two minutes then go to sleep! To re-awaken her from sleeping mode wen she as no base simply pick her up, then run your finger between the two lines in the centre of her head. Not sure if that is a touch sensor or light sensor, but hat does seem to be the most sensitive. Also, she seems to have a sensitive sensor on the right side of her blue light, there is the "YELLOW RECTANGLE" place your finger on the black dot on the left of that "YELLOW RECTANGLE" and that appears to give her a trigger to wake up. - In certain positions without her legs she will make the hover sound, and then a laser pulse sound, and she does a pulse sound and then like a purr sound. - She appears to react more sensitive to clapping without the legs I have noticed over the period of time I have had her. - She must have gyro sensor programmed in her because lay her flat upside down and she appears to make a range of different sounds try to get you to pick her up, and the blue light definetly breathes and pulses when she is upside down! - Will try to update this thread for you as I learn more from Lola, also just purchased another to customise in battle colours!

The instructions are too brief but over the year Amazon has answered a few questions. The start sensor is the two dark bars in front of the antenna and they both have to be covered to start her. Amazon says, and it works, that a "long press, really a hold, on the bars puts her in sleep mode. I just think that at the original $90 price it should have a Bluetooth link like the galaxy's Edge droids have so it could interact with them and the smartphone app.

I don’t have one, but I do have a Degree in Audio Engineering- I’m going to guess that LOLA is set to respond more to talking than clapping. Essentially it seems like it’s listening to you talk and it’s just having a hard time telling when you’re done speaking. The way some of these toys are designed, to save money, they’ll “lacklusterly” design an audio circuit that can’t tell between someone talking and an AC unit humming in the background. Speak a full complete senetence in a full loud voice, and see if it responds a little quicker. Really hoping to snag one of these soon, would love to mess around with it! 😊

!DISCLAIMER! I got mine on sale through Amazon and after about 15 minutes of playing with her over a couple days, she jammed. The head is tilted to the side and she stop moving. She will turn on for a couple seconds to beep and boop then turns off. I saw another review that had exact same problem so even if it is very uncommon, hold on to your receipts! Luckily Amazon has a great return policy so I'm taking my chances with a replacement.
