Track pads and fluid are an an ABSOLUTE MUST cannot emphasize it enough

if all you want to do is track day and entry level time attack event all you need for your f series m3/m4 are pads fluids vented gts style hood for heat venting millway camber plate eibach lowering springs and swaybars maybe a catback exhuast system and drop in filter with trackday tires like cup2 ad09 or re17rs spec tires you can drop cage harness and bucket seats and battary cutoff if you really want to take it to track properly.

OEMS put low temp brake fluid because it absorbs less water, making it safer in the long run and less maintenance
@youliangyi33463 жыл бұрын
Spot on, brake fluid and brake pads for beginners. Endless is another or probably the best fluid on the market, l’ve boiled motul 600 before.

Thanks for the tips bro. I just learned something, can’t believe bmw didn’t give us upgraded pads and upgraded brake fluid. Will also get the mwah guards.

Good info. I'm enjoying the content by the way. I only found your channel maybe a month ago but have watched many vids. Awesome choice of cars. Both were on my bucket list (ill probably never manage the other one, but then again I never thought I'd manage this one! Ive just managed to get an F82.) Very very happy with it. I'm still getting used to it, but put it across mountain back roads last week (UK version of canyons i guess) and have to say when you put it to 80-90% (probably more like 60-70% at the moment ha) they come alive! The front end grip gives so much confidence, and I realised there is not to much worry about the back end either which I had read so much about! I'm glad I watched this. I knew a pad change would be first on the list but wouldn't have thought about the fluid to be honest. So, pads, fluid and probably a set of tyres will do the trick for now (currently on PS4S). Engineering masterpiece if you ask me. How can something come off the production line you can daily and hammer all day on track while doing both without many issues? Can't wait to get to a few local track days to learn the car and then my no.1 bucket list - nordschliefe!

calling OEM Brake Pads made by PAGID trash is not good info. They just happened to be used by a lot of professional GT Racing cars but yep, pagids are shit according to this clown. It demonstrates this dude has no idea wtf he's tlaking about

i fully agree with the oem pads and olive oil brake fluid!!! what about BMW Carbon Ceramic Brakes (CCB)? are they good in track
@Thewinnerscircle_4 жыл бұрын
Good question. I can’t speak on that to be honest but I will say, I would never track on CCB because they’re too expensive to replace! It would still be cheaper to buy a steel brake kit like the OEM steel kit than having to replace rotors and you cant run an 18 inch wheel with CCBs like you can with the OEM steel brake set up

After a track day, you said you change your fluids. What fluids do you change? Oil and brake fluid? Diff fluid? Trans fluid? Coolant?

Thank you very much for the video. The brake fluid upgrades. Will that be okay for regular street driving? Once I am done with the track?
@matthewjudge37633 жыл бұрын
The fluid will be fine, but the pads are dependant on how aggressive you go. Street/track pads will probably squeek a bit and create more dust, full track pads won't bit very well when they are cold.

Did your friend with the OG N55 M2 replace his crank hub? Although the N55 and S55 share the same crank hub, the crank hub is less likely to fail on the N55.

Do you have any kind of track insurance?
@Thewinnerscircle_4 жыл бұрын
I don’t buy track insurance
@vincentaxm83224 жыл бұрын
@@Thewinnerscircle_ I am a bit curious about the reason, could you please explain? Thanks
@Thewinnerscircle_4 жыл бұрын
@@vincentaxm8322 I’m assuming you’re asking why I don’t buy track insurance. I will always tell you that track insurance is a great idea but for me, I own my car and I track all of them quite often so buying track insurance for these cars adds up to astronomical amounts of money that I can honestly say I cannot afford. Generally speaking, track insurance on the GT3 for auto club speedway is over $1000. That brings the total for just the event to somewhere around $1200-$1300. That doesn’t include gas and food for the day. Now multiply this by 2-3 events a month.... 😅

Is there any advantage on track between f82 m4 and f80 m3?

Do you think the crank hub is required for tracking? On stock powe
@Thewinnerscircle_4 жыл бұрын
Yes on stock power. Apex ring taxi runs a completely stock M3 and M4 with no issues. I’ve never met anyone who has never tuned their car and still spun the crank hub on or off track 👌🏽
@trooper_f304 жыл бұрын
@@Thewinnerscircle_ sounds like im good to go then you just convinced me to take the leap. Still want to tune the car down the line so I will prepare for the crank hub that way. Also I know you have the vargas crank hub, do you think the vargas CH and CBC is better than a 4 pin CH?
@Thewinnerscircle_4 жыл бұрын
@@trooper_f30 I think both are great options. VTT is cheaper and can installed for less usually, as it requires less work to install but the 4 pin that SSR offers is a great solution as well.
