@@JakeLeary I wish I could still sew. Sewing took me around the world more than a few times, making stuff. The shoe making machines are otherworldly as are most sewing machines. Check out the secret life of machines. . . Rock, rock on brother.

Please make them for the pint!!! Have screw-in studs and chicken wire in my Amazon cart as we speak, but the soccasin is the real deal..!

had this been available a month ago, I would've definitely added it to my order

I still have 2 of them 😅. I got the OG one where you need to tie the nots. I had a great experience with it, especially in fluffy snow. But it was only useful in good condition. Cause if you use it on hard concrete or asphalt or even on an uneven icy terrain, you could tear the mesh apart. It wears out pretty fast when you don't use it in good condition 😅. Now I've been rocking my gt with an 6 inch hub with a vega treaded tire with some studs. And it works out marvelously throughout the years of ridding in icy, snowy and slushy condition. The studded tire is the way to go 🤟

Haven't tried the soccasin yet but so far the best set up for riding in the snow that I've tried is a GTS with TFL's Pioneer tire, FST footpads with EvoGrip grip tape (Sticky Feet) and the hybrid fender. I just ripped home from work on this setup today and then ripped all over my yard and in the street in front of my house. So much fun. I already liked the Pioneer tire but after today, I am extremely impressed. I was thinking of putting studs in the tire but now I'm having second thoughts. I'll have some video posted sometime between the holidays.

Pro tip for no sharp zip edge: Don't cut. Use pliers to grip the end and twist the tie where it comes out of the zip head. Will break off smoothly with no harsh edge.

Disclaimer, ive ride my onewheel gt in snow for a winter the first year it came out, they put alot of salt in the street for cars and i think it's mostly that but maybe just the snow has enough calcium to rust the inside, i had to change the motor cause it was rusted all the inside, and the battery was cooked so i had to change that aswell -2k .. So do it at your own risk but wouldnt suggest it. but cool accessorie, float on.
@gabrielbeaudet67176 сағат бұрын
Note* i badgered the onewheel and use ring protection for the bering. lifesaver. Rust still founds its way. anyway
@johanjotun1647Сағат бұрын
Thanks, they brine the roads where i live too, I hope that dosn't shorten the life of our wheel, we don't ride in the rain and try to avoid puddles, 2 season, and desart dwellers will never know the struggle against rust.

@@gabrielbeaudet6717 Try using ACF-50. It is an anti-corrosion formula. It is made for use on helicopters and motorcycles but it works great on Onewheels.

I can see how these would be good for slick tires but I don’t know how it would be better than a tire like the Pioneer in a soft compound.

See I need a thing like this that you can install super casually so when it melts the next day or two after the snow you are shredding the thing on the road. Having to take the wheel off is too tedious to do super frequently
@MrJoefoefrombuffalo3 сағат бұрын
Over the years I have my fingers crossed someone will invent similar that we don't have remove the tire, hub to install 🤞
@johanjotun1647Сағат бұрын
Some kind of locking mechanisim would be a big improvement, I haven't taken our wheel appart yet but I defintly have no desire to do so until the stock tire is cooked.
