Great video! One thing I’ve been working on lately is my diet, though I feel that I could work on my sleep. I seem to be getting too much REM for some reason

What do you think about Lions Mane supplement
@drmarkheisig6 күн бұрын
Great question! Lion’s mane has gained a lot of attention recently for its potential neuroprotective and cognitive benefits. While early research suggests it may help with mild cognitive decline, symptoms of neurodegenerative conditions, and even mood improvements, the clinical evidence is still limited, and its effects seem to depend on continuous use. If you’d like personalized guidance on whether supplements like Lion’s mane could fit into your recovery plan, feel free to schedule an Intro Consult here: www.drheisig.com/appointments. Thanks again for asking!

I’ve had a fear of CTE because I feel like I’m symptomatic, but I’ve never played contact sports. I did however fall off my bike and chip my tooth and felt disoriented after. I was never diagnosed concussion at the time but after researching about it I feel like I could’ve had one. Is my risk for CTE high?

Bro you don’t have cte lol

Your are just fear mongering, there are people who played more than 10 nfl sessions at professional level and had no cte. You come no way close.

Thanks for sharing your concern. Based on what you’ve described, your risk for CTE is incredibly low to zero, especially since you haven’t played contact sports and your head injury seems to have been isolated. CTE is typically associated with repetitive head impacts over many years. That said, if you’re dealing with lingering symptoms or anxiety, addressing them now could help you feel better. I bet cerebrolysin after say a football game or mma fight etc, would eliminate cte. Just a theory that’s been going around on the internet.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Cerebrolysin is an interesting topic, and it does show promise in neuroprotection and supporting recovery from brain injuries, as seen in conditions like vascular dementia and possibly TBI. However, the current evidence is far from conclusive regarding its ability to prevent CTE specifically. Most studies focus on its role in enhancing neurogenesis, reducing oxidative stress, and preserving the blood-brain barrier (PMID: 39832667) If you’re interested in exploring evidence-based approaches to brain recovery and CTE risk management, my Concussion Reset Program might be helpful: www.drheisig.com/courses.
