I think the delkevic sounded BY FAR the best. Had a proper meaty start up and made my ears blush when revving!

It was definitely the loudest! And yes, it definitely sounded meaty... But I kept the lextek as A: it looks the best (imo), and B: I Don't want my neighbours to kill me 🤣🤣

I thought the backdrop look very familiar! It's Coastal Drive in New Brighton, my sister and mum live a few hundred yards away. It's even more of a coincidence, because I've just bought an new SV650 from Marriott Motorcycles in Birkenhead! If you see a red and white Suzuki SV650 whizzing past, then it might be me when I pop over from Liverpool. One of the first things I'm going to mod is the exhaust, because that L-Twin engine sounds fantastic. I've been looking at Lextek; they're expensive but they have a good selection. I might also have a chat with the guys at Max Torque Cans in Burscough. But, I'm loving the bike, I bought it to replace my 2021 Yamaha Tenere 700 which is getting sold - happy days. 👍

That's the one! It's an ace place for messing about on motorbikes lol... Oh excellent!! I've had a few bikes from marriots, they're a good dealership. I can't recommend lextek enough tbh, I've had a few of their end cans over the years... they're well made, sound great, well priced, and made right here in blighty! Well I hope you subscribe, as I'd love to get some more comments off you about sv650 and bike stuff 👍

@@TheChequeredFlagOriginal I always go along Coastal Drive to avoid all the idiots on King's Parade, especially in the summer! It's a nice little run up from the Tunnel, and better than going along Rolleston Drive and Warren Drive. I only bought the SV650 a month ago. I popped over to see my mum, I then shot down to Marriotts. I haggled a bit, and then they gave me a fantastic deal on the bike. My Yamaha Tenere 700 is a great bike, but wasn't the bike for me. I really missed a naked bike, and I came to realise I didn't need a big adventure bike. I do most of my riding around town, and the SV650 is pefect for that, and the mpg is miles better, literally! I also wanted to buy local, as I had to go all the way up to Wigan just to get the Tenere serviced. I got on really well with Tony and Mike at Marriotts, great lads, very knowledgeable and friendly, not like some dealerships I could mention. I always promised myself I'd buy myself a Triumph Speed Twin 1200 one day, but, when I was at Marriotts I had a look at the Kawasaki Z900RS. What a bike that was, it's absolutley gorgeous, and it's turned my head. It's definitely one for the future, but, I don't think I'd sell the SV650, it's a keeper, I'd have both! 👍

@@soulrebelno1 yea it's definitely the way to go! Ahh the SV is ace, I'm on my third now lol... have you got the new shape? I haven't ridden the new one yet, it looks gorgeous though. Oh yea, Mike is always a pleasure to talk to! I've bought a bike from A+D motorcycles in Denbighb before now, that's an excellent dealer. Hope the SV serves you well my friend (I'm sure it will!)

@@TheChequeredFlagOriginal Yes, it's a 3rd generation bike, and was a pre-registered 2021 AM1 model with zero miles. I first went up to Millenium Motorcycles in St Helens who are part of MotoGB. They had some 2021 models, but not the the colour I wanted, and they wanted full price for the other bikes. I don't know what it is, but I never have a good experience at Millenium Motorcycles. In the end, it turned out that no one in the country had any new bikes due to supply problems, and they couldn't give me a date when the 2022 model would arrive. I'd also looked at the Yamaha MT09 SP, but it was the same story. I did get a demo on a Yamaha Tracer 9 GT which uses the same engine, but I didn't really like the bike. I found the noise of the engine was a bit annoying at low speed, but it sounded better on the motorway. I also found out that the quickshifter doesn't really work below 30mph, where I do most of my riding. To be honest, I've fallen in love with the sound of a twin cylinder engine. I had a rethink, and thought what's the point paying all that money for things I won't really use. It was a bit like when I bought a brand new Subaru Impreza many moons ago. A great car, very quick, but there was loads of speed humps and cameras everywhere, every year the insurance would go up, and it did 24mpg. I sold it and bought a diesel Ford Focus, and it was the best car I ever bought for so many reasons. I was after a 2022 SV650 in 'Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Brilliant White', and I found out that Marriott Motorcycles had a 2021 model in stock. When I got there, what stuck me was the bike looked far better in the flesh. Suzuki uses a white pearlescent paint on the tank, so it will look good in the sunshine, and the frame and wheels are a lovely deep red. To cut a long story short, after 2½ hours of talking to Tony and looking at the other bikes - mainly the Kawasaki Z900RS - I bought the bike. The backstory on the bike was quite interesting. Marriott's had pre-registered it, then sold it a month later, but the sale fell through. It turns out the guy who bought it was 82-years-old, but thought he was still 20, and he was yearning for the days of his youth. When he turned up to collect the bike, it was obvious to Mike and Tony that he couldn't operate the bike properly. They put him on one of their 125cc training bikes to test him out, and he fell off it three times! They ended up cancelling the sale as he would've killed himself, I thought, not many dealers would do that! It also caused them a lot of problems, as the guy wanted to sue them, but they did the right thing. In the end, bike had three owners, had never left the showroom, and had zero miles on the clock! You'll have to buy a 3rd generation model, after all, it's the best bike Ducati never made!

Oh wow that's certainly a strange history! Can't believe he tried to sue them... what a world we live in!! Yea definitely need a go on a new shape, they're stunning bikes, especially compared to the competition... They made some great colour combos, but yea that pearlescent white is gorgeous. Love the blue and white scheme too. You mentioned a triumph yesterday... I'd love a triumph street triple, or a speed triple 1050. But that'll have to wait a while unfortunately

how did you mount the first one? the only ones i can find have those springs with the hooks that look as if i either need to order a new link pipe or weld hooks on. is the exhaust clamped on with out those springs?
@TheChequeredFlagOriginal

They all just clamped onto the link pipe... just find a 51mm end can, and make sure it comes with a clamp instead of springs
