Jim gets it…there’s no need to pretend that the Emperor has no clothes, the Auto industry has been flipped over by Tesla and so there is a new game in town. This is an opportunity for Ford to become a major player in the industry again as everyone starts in 2nd place…

Jim is acting, he just recently said Ford is leading the EV revolution.

@@odisy64 I saw the tweet…it was a generic statement about being a player as the EV revolution is blooming. This is in stark contrast to Virgin Mary literally trying to push a Pravda narrative about being The Leader and laughably not mentioning Tesla by name. Jim has learned a lot from the precious Ford CEO’s mistakes and obviously Virgin Mary’s lunacy. He’s playing it smart by acknowledging and bowing to Elon when appropriate…whether he believes it or not.

I think GM is in trouble... but from this interview, it looks like Ford has the right attitude and has chosen to be humble and learn the new way of making cars. GM just seems to be trying to convince everyone they are the leader with their 26 cars. They also hooked up with Nikola, and their cars have a bit of a fire problem... This would all be fine if they were humble like this guy here, but instead they are spinning as much as possible and paid the president to advertise for them.... I think I have hope for ford now after this.... how much attitude can change your confidence in someone so quickly.

Fords biggest downfall is their massive debt. Would probably be a good idea to build the foundations for a strong EV business and then spin it off as its own company, unburdened by the liability that is the ICE business. It’s pretty much the only way some iteration of Ford avoids bankruptcy in the transition to EV’s.

Watching this 2.5 years after the interview was recorded, and Ford is unfortunately nowhere near a 600,000 EV production run rate. His prediction was off by an order of magnitude, but I believe Jim Farley will successfully lead Ford through this difficult transition. At least Ford is better off than GM, led by a delusional CEO.

So by the end of 2023 fomoco wants a 600k ev production run rate. But that's globally not just in America. Because the #1 seller at least for this year is built in mexico&China. That being the mach e. And for which they get emissions credits. Those sales numbers might keep them in 2nd place for a large scale oem based in the U.S. in that time frame. Meanwhile gm is somehow claiming a million evs for the American market by 2025. This should get interesting. 😀

Pumping out electric cars is one thing, Pumping out electric cars with software built to advance driving beyond what is not just automatic windshield operation when it rains or parking is another. Ford electric cars will be a driving hustle how long enough or cheap will this battery car last me and when can I get another with a better battery than what I have now, How much return will it give to trade. Same old same but now with batteries. While tesla drivers get advancement never experienced with a car before and they'll get better at it each time.
