I’m pleasantly surprised that the 1st interviewee has exactly the same view as mine about the droppings of the A-bombs. The following is what I’ve posted on related threads over the years. ------------------------------------------------------------ IMO, the Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki have been the biggest “state terrorist acts” targeting civilians in human history. And, here’s my view on the real reason America used nukes against Japan. It was not, as is often mentioned as a justification, to end the war. After 2 major events towards the end of the Pacific War, both the USA and JPN knew who would come out as the victor. One was the Battle of Iwo Jima (18 February - 26 March 1945), and the other was the Bombing of Tokyo (9-10 March 1945). And the Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki took place in August. Why do you think America waited that long (5 months!) or needed to drop the A-bombs at all when they knew they won the war? JPN was no longer a threat. Who was by far the biggest threat to the USA at the time? The Soviet, of course! And, America’s message to the whole world was clear : We have nukes, so don’t try to mess with us ... just do as we say! I repeat : The Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not to end the war, as gullible people believe, but to prepare for America’s post war world dominance. ------------------------------------------------------------ Meanwhile, I was a bit disappointed that he didn’t say anything about 9/11 being a blatant false flag to create a pretext to invade Iraq. BTW, here’s my current worldview in a nutshell : AmeriCancer and RottenSia are the 2 biggest rogue nations in the world, distantly followed by ChiNasty. But, RuZzia is by far the most deadly threat to the whole world right now. Meanwhile, AmeriCancer is in its terminal stage and incurable. Yes, both AmeriCancer and RottenSia are collapsing from within.
I hear that a lot of American people still believe that A-bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were tragic but necessary evil to minimize casualties of both American and Japanese people. American people were taught by the US government that the purpose of dropping A-bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were to urge Japan to accept the Potsdam Declaration or unconditional surrender. Japanese leaders knew that Japan`s defeat would be unavoidable, so their major concern was to reach armistice at favorable condition as possible for Japanese side. Imperial Japan dispatched units of elite troops to Okinawa, Iwo Jima etc. in order to stop U.S. invasion to Japanese mainland. Japanese leaders expected that war of attrition in those island would raise a feeling of war-weariness among American people. On the other hand, Imperial Japan wished the Soviet Union to mediate between Washington and Tokyo. But the Soviet Union annulled the Russo-Japanese Non Aggression Pact and declared a war against Japan on August 8th, 1945. That was the last straw for Japan. The real objective of the United States to drop A-bombs on Japan was to intimidate Stalin and the Soviet Union. After World War II, it was believed that the Unites States would enter the Cold War against the Soviet Union, and American military officers were astonished Russian aggressiveness and their excellent weapons after the fall of Berlin. So it was crucial for the United States to demonstrate their military edge to Russians. Therefore, A-bombings on Japan was unnecessary.
