No he's not a false prophet. He's correct. Holiness is works salvation or Lordship salvation part of the false gospel of Calvinism. The only works acceptable to God are walking in the Spirit; not works of the flesh which is carnality and self-righteousness. Apart from Christ we have no acceptable works to God.

After 28 years as a born again Christian i have seen it all and been through it all. I have reached a point in my life where i believe that what matters most is my personal relationship with God. My conscience will always lead me to the right path. Gods path has inner peace that only you can explain. I seek to follow where the peace of God takes me. If i do not have the peace of God about something, then i am very cautious going ahead and ready to turn around or jump out at the slightest prompt. This walk of salvation can not be done blindly. Everyone must workout his own with fear and trembling.

Your conscience may not always lead you on the right path. Our consciences can become deadened to Spiritual truth. I get what you're saying, but I believe a more accurate truth is that God's Word will always lead us on the right path. Satan walks around looking to devour people - and that includes leading Christians astray from the right path. The Bible says our hearts are deceitful and desperately wicked. The key is staying close to God by studying His word daily and praying for discernment and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Don't trust in yourself.

52 years ago, at my first "Charismatic Meeting" at age 10, in Sacramento, CA (location unknown to me, as I was 10 years old) I saw the lack of control of the "grown ups" and was horrified, expecting to see this very thing break out at any moment. Now, 52 years later I can say that you might find this at any party where alcohol and/or drugs are being taken, and usually among a younger set of adults. That's nearly expected. No less disgusting, but at least they don't CALL it "Holy" anything. They don't blaspheme God by blaming their behavior on Him at drug parties. But at Bethel and in other charismatic places there are various levels of this always attributed (blamed) to God. This is not God, nor is it Holy nor is it Christian. Out of control, juvenile, hormones on steroids? Yes. But not God or Holy or Christian. If you are part of this and keep getting that "something isn't quite right" feeling, TRUST IT. And leave, as soon as possible.

Justin - when I was baptized over 30 years ago I was afraid that I was really not ‘saved’ because when my body was lifted out of the water I felt the heaviness of years of sin and a fear of God like I had never had before. For the rest of the day I kept my feelings to myself and smiled along with the others who had been baptized. My baptism showed me just how sinful my life had been. I have a genuine fear of God. I respect his house and his word. I am grateful to God, even though I do not show it everyday, for his tender mercies and the many blessings he continues to give me. Unfortunately God has become a joke in this world today and many no longer fear his name but use it to become rich.

It’s also important to recognize that that baptism within water is materialistic ritual for the old doctrine. The new covenant with Jesus Christ is to be spiritually baptized by the Holy Spirit. @@kirklyles1705 You have to realize that there were three different people groups receiving salvation and the gift of the Holy Spirit in Acts. First, it was the Jews. Second, it was the Samaritans. Then, the Gentiles. It was necessary for the apostles to be present when the Holy Spirit was given so that confirmation could be made that salvation was for all people groups. Jews, Samaritans, and Gentiles. It was necessary because the apostles were also conditioned to believe that salvation was only for the Jews. Notice also that the Gentiles received the Holy Spirit BEFORE they were baptized! This proves water baptism is not necessary for salvation. As scripture reveals, water baptism is a personal and public confession that you believe you have died with Christ and will raise again as Christ did. It is not a requirement for salvation, but rather what you do as a testimony that you KNOW you ARE saved.

@@fredthe47th I believe you are correct, except for the part where you say speaking in tongues was no longer necessary. It may not be the "norm" but I assure you that it is still necessary. I've heard enough testimony of people speaking in tongues while being in other countries and leading people to Christ as a result. In our own little world we don't see beyond it and it's easy to draw conclusions in our limited scope and understanding. Americans especially have a limited understanding of the work of the Holy Spirit. Mainly because of unbelief, just like in the early Church. In other places where they haven't heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they are zealous for the work of the Holy Spirit and experience far more than Americans and other "civilized" places. Americans are ignorant of His work because they fail to truly acknowledge their need of the work He does. I am sure if you visited the poor and needy places of the world who have never heard of Jesus you would change your mind when you see the results of the Gospel message they hear and receive.

Actually, I went to a charismatic Bible College, not knowing who Jesus was. I was raised in a mainstream protestant church, which was more like a social club, and in a family where the Bible was placed in a prominent place on our bookshelf but never read. One day at school at the age of 18 I asked God three questions. One, how could You exist for eternity before creation and forever more. Two, how could You create everything from nothing? And three, is that old black book collecting dust on the bookshelf Your true inspired word to man? I had made up my mind that if He didn't answer me, I would stop going to church, which I had done all my life, evening singing in the junior and senior choirs. No sooner had I asked those questions, a blinding light followed by an answer that has kept me a believer in God and His infallible word these last 54 years. Needless to say I started reading the Bible (was the KJV) and as with all books started at the beginning in the Old Testament, and for awhile was a Jew, even observing the Passover (though found lamb to wooly for my taste). It wasn't until I was 23 when I picked up a "The Four Spiritual Laws" tract that I became thirsty to know more, so decided to go to a bible college. There was taught Darby's Dispensationalism which espoused pre-tribulation rapture and most of the students believed in that, but for some reason I never could, which was a good thing cause when I recently heard that the charismatic apostolic movement had allot of false doctrines, like women being pastors, tongues being the sign of the spiritual baptism (spiritual rebirth), and that apostles and prophets are for today and just not for the early church (even though from 200 AD to the 1800's, tongues and apostles were absent, then all of a sudden in the "latter days" they appeared again, with Mormons and Charismatics), I was more open to listen to these differing opinions and forced me to go to God's word and not be swayed by their false teachings. I now realize that many hyper charismatic movements are really based on false doctrines espoused by false teachers and prophets Jesus said would come in the last days to deceive even the elect if possible. I used to NOT believe in Eternal Security, and my faith was rather shaky always thinking that I wasn't good enough to be saved, but was eventually set free of condemnation once I got a better understanding of the true gospel of Christ. Trusting in the saving power of Jesus death on the cross in my place, fully paying the debt I owed. "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." P.S. Actually it was Covid I have to thank for opening my eyes to the truth about the charismatic movement and it's sordid history. When one faces death, one tends to do allot of soul searching. I started watching allot of You-tubers like Justin, such as Cory of Smart Christian Channel, and many others who opened my eyes to the false doctrines espoused by the false teachers of the apostolic movement.

I just stumbled on this. I started my faith 45 years ago in a Charismatic/Paentecostal discipline. After many years, little by little I moved away from many of the practices and I called excesses of these denominations including some doctrines. I don’t agree with these practices , at best they are fleshy and extra biblical interpretations in a practical sense. Having said that , just as they go out of balance in understanding and practice of faith , so are these “ cessationists”. There’s not one scriptures ( other than twisting and imposing on the scriptures) that supports cessation doctrine - not one. This has been debated in public and absolutely no clear and proper biblical grounds for cessation doctrine - and same as no biblical basis for this BSSM stuff. May the body of Christ be healed and United at least in spirit as to the proper, balance and full application of the scriptures rather than these infightings calling each other up to demonic practices led by Pastor McDonald and friends who also condemns and “regulate” what is worship and not according to their prescriptions. Very fractured body of Christ. I will further investigate this school of supernatural as some of my friends are in it. God be praised !

Many years ago I was involved with YWAM. Those people began to act like this. I left as my spirit was extremely quenched. As I-was leaving the YWAM facility after I packed up my belongings in Salem, Oregon USA, the Lord spoke to me and said, “Do Not ever return to this place as it is UNHOLY GROUND”. I never went there again and never looked back. Our adopted son thought about joining YWAM in Hawaii but after visiting the campus he came home and told me that the only thing the people do there is smoke marijuana and beg to vacationers for money to support them in their “walk” with Christ. Our son knew of my experience with YWAM, but he wanted to see for himself. He was so disgusted. He now goes to college at Pepperdine University in Malibu California.

I encountered God in my garden one day, there was no music. The atmosphere changed, it became impregnated with holiness, every cell in my body knew that I was in the presence of God. I could not stand, I fell to my knees and wept. Wept at how stupid I have been to believe that there is no God, wept at my own egotistical nature. The Lord flooded me with his love and mercy and called me back to him. "Child" he said. I couldn't believe it. I was completely bowled over. It was like God was in everything. From the mountains, to the grain of sand, as ancient as the sun and as brand new as the light reflecting from the dew drop. I understood what was meant with the Alpha and the Omega. I live in the middle of nowhere in Africa, how could God come here, for me. In time I realised that it is true, God is close to the broken hearted and those who seek Him earnestly with a pure heart will find him. For months I repented, bought a bible, tried to make sense. I understand know why He came and saved me, my mom passed away recently from cancer. If I didn't have that encounter, if I didn't truly understood the reality of God, if I didn't repent, there could be no real way that God could've walked the last months with us, me, my mom. That my prayers would be those of a lost soul and not of a prayer warrior, filled with gratitude and love. Oh the Lord blessed us with extra time, He gave us fair warning and he took her before any real suffering could touch her. We prayed every day, let there be no suffering if there can't be any healing. Between the devils and the thorns it was a fight to the very end for her soul, but the day she passed in my arms, it was under Romans 8 vs 38 - 39. God came and took her and He has given so much strength and peace and acceptance. Thank you Lord for saving us. My life is yours. Amen

I grew up in the Pentecostal church and what you are exposing is what I experienced going to church as a kid. I hated every second being in that church. Even though I was only 12, I knew something wasn't right when I heard church goers and the pastor "speaking in tongues" like Kenneth Copeland and his ilk and this was before I even knew who Kenneth was. Because I knew something was wrong in Denmark and wanted nothing to do with that Pentecostal church, I rebelled as most kids do at that age. I started listening to Metallica and Slayer and that type of music to show my rebellion. Because of that Pentecostal church, I was turned off by God and the bible because that was the only church I knew. This was back in the 80s and 90s. It wasn't until I moved on my own and got online and started watching channels like "A Call For An Uprising" (now A Call For Judgement") and "Enter The Stars" that showed me what was going on with the world and showing where in the bible it says that this or that is going to happen or has already happened that brought me back to Christ and wanting to read the bible again showing me that the bible is the actual truth. Then I find your channels and other's like yours exposing churches like Kenneth Copeland and the same stuff that went on in the Pentecostal church I went to and seeing that I was right when I was 12 that something wasn't right with this church. I didn't know then but I feel that now, that it was God telling me that something isn't right in this church. I tried to tell my mom once but never again because when I did, she beat me so bad for speaking bad about the church that I never did it again. I honestly have no idea what in the world I have just watched. It actually reminded me of the scene in The Ten Commandants where Moses descends from the mountain to find most of the children of Israel having a demonic worship of the golden calf. Jesus told the truth and was the truth and walked into the TRUE gifts and TRULY healed people. Jesus is THE example of what the gospel looks like. It seems people prefer dead religious phariseutical religion because it's safer. You don't have to discern the spirits wether it's of GOD or of satan, you can just label it ALL as being of satan and anything that moves or has any form of spirituality in it can be labelled as satanic. It's NOT what we're called to as believers. These signs shall follow them that believe. Justin Peters is a cessationist. He does NOT believe that the biblical pattern of disciples is for today. He does not believe that we as disciples are to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out devils as we preach the gospel. He believes God can only heal people "sovereignly" as though God's pattern has changed and thus the "gospel" has changed. Paul warned us about preaching "another gospel". Paul also didn't just preach enticing words which man's wisdom preaches but came in demonstration of the spirit and of power. There is no gospel without the power and no power without the gospel. It's one thing to "expose" the false but it's another to demonstrate and teach the REAL THING. I don't see this in this ministry. I don't see J.P. teaching people how to truly hear from God and how to truly operate in the gifts. What I see is a shooting down of the gifts. That's not God. Yes, there are false prophets and false Christs that Jesus warned us about. Jesus didn't just warn us of the false though, HE DEMONSTRATED THE REAL THING and so should we.

I wasn't raised un church. I was raised with straight-laced rules that are biblically founded as I would eventually learn after becoming grown. But from a child I sought God from a young age. I've had two angel ecounters, I've been swaying in the spirit twice althoughi didn't know what to call it because both of them happened to me when I was praying at home alone. When I first got to say it was because I finally heard the gospel in a Baptist revival. I had no clue what a revival meeting was. I was just invited by a coworker, and I went. When I was slain in the spirit no one had taught me anything about it. I'd never seen it or heard of it. And quite frankly, Just thing with people laughing and falling out, Don't know what to make of it. In the spirit I myself, I didn't laugh or roll around. It was under God's power and I literally could move or speak. As I said , I was saved in a baptist picture and they never taught of this or spoke of it. I don't think pentecostal churches in the Southeast did this. What happened in flailing and stuff like that. One day in the baptist church , we were studying the book of revelation where john says he fell as though dead. Okay that means he couldn't move or stand up. Yet he was conscious and cognizant of what was happening. That's the same as I was. That is what slain in the spirit is. Beam slain with spirit is ritual , it's it's real , it hasn't seized because the whole spirit that hasn't ceased. I wouldn't say it happens frequently it's only happened twice in forty years of christianity. But I have to be honest it didn't happen it is real. Set up brightness down to the question of what kind of spirits are palms of the laughing and failing? I wouldn't want to speak against the always spirit because that would be blasphemy of the always spirit. A lot of very well , meaning christian cesationists are very quick to speak against any kind of speaking in tones and any kind of being slant in the spirit , and they claim all that has ceased. But they're wrong. However, I've always felt very uncomfortable about these scenes. Where you see all church breaking out in this i'm controlled behavior. Were they laughing or barking or Flailing in the floor. My christian spiritual instinct is to think that they're manifesting unclean spirits a mockery. I am concerned that they are being deceived the cause. My personal experience with being slain and the spirit is you just can't move. I notice that aspects of my experience mirrors the biblical description. Didn't happen when I was in a crowd of people or at church. It was was when I was alone & in prayer. I didn't laugh uncontrollably or roll around. I fell flat and couldn't move or speak. It only lasted a few seconds on one time ... just long enough for the Holy Spirit to speak "get up". ( That was meant spiritually. I didn't even realize I was slipping into a despondent depression after an unwanted and undeserved divorce. I was just recovering from chemo and was not working. I was trying to find a job. Pretty tough position to be in and I had child on my hands. It's is not like me to get down. I usually soldier through. So, this is how God got my attention snapped me out of it. Right after this I shook off the grief and dismay and God provided a job. The first time I was slain in the spirit was in the presence of an Angel of God that was sent to miraculously heal my baby (said daughter mentioned above. I was 12 weeks along & drs discovered I had a medical condition that was ending her life. I had been praying very heard at bedtime and eventually fell asleep praying. Hours later I awoke abruptly to the shocking sight of an angel standing in my room. When I asked him for his name (because I was afraid to talk to him and I thought, I'll get his name. ) He answered me and told me "you already know what to do". ( i thought 'don't terminate my pregnancy '. See The doctors had seen me 2 separate appointments ordering me to be admitted to the hospital for an emergency DNC to save my own life from a ruptured ovarian artery. ) When he spoke, I had no idea he was there to heal my pregnancy. But he established that i should stick with my decision and not give in to doctors pressure to help me survive. Before I could ask any other question, he stretched out his hand toward me and I was slain in the spirit. I didn't know what slain in the spirit was. I just knew what was happening to me. I fell back on the bed and I could not open my eyes. I could not sit up I could not move I could even lift a finger. He touched my body and evidently healed my pregnancy. At one point I could feel his presence , leaving stupid cooking dope my eyes or move. Just before he completely disappeared I heard him say it will be a girl. In a few days the doctor's office called me for a third exam and ultrasound. The same tech did all three ultrasounds. So she knew the first two we're bad news...a tubal pregnancy. On the third ultrasound she interrupted the imaging sessionin a panic. She wouldn't answer when I asked what was wrong. But she just kept saying this can't be. She bolted out of thee Sam rue and I could hear Her yelling at the top of Her Lungs all The Way Down. The hallway calling for the doctor come out of whatever examiner might be. She drags him back up the hallway and I hear her saying you're not gonna believe this Doctor I can't explain it. You're just not gonna believe this. You have to see it for yourself. She was clearly beside herself. She started the ultrasound back up and showed him the image. Now he has seen all the other images. He stood there bewilted looking. And he literally reached up and scratched his head and he said strange things happen sometimes , and that's all he said and left the room. I feel a bit nervous at this point. This was 1991 and back then. They didn't show you the ultra sound screen. They didn't show you any of that imaging. They would print you out one polaroid like picture of your baby. But she was so. Excited and Elated, but she turned the screen to me. It started the ultrasound again and said you're gonna have a baby!!! I remember thinking, she was so excited you would thought it was her baby! She went all over the place ... showed me heart arms and legs. And she said her spine is perfect. She does not have Spina bifida. I was far long enough for them. To make that determination and they don't really tell you that in the image session. That's the report the doctors of value weight. And then you're told lathereby the nurse that your test came out fine. She was so excited she just told me everything!! There is such thing as being slightened in the spirit. But from my experience it doesn't match what I see happening in those church images.

I experienced a gal at a thanksgiving gathering, where the host family opens the door to “ anyone who can come”. She showed up, a stranger to all present, and I was suddenly aware of witchcraft present. Sure enough, she started to operate, she laid her hands on my friend, a Jewish yet non believer, and insisted he needs to get saved! She kept telling him he’s a prophet, and god wants to use him! My friend lives in a nursing home, is mentally sharp, and said: if you spell prophet. P r o f I t, im Game! She kept badgering him, until I told her to lay off. She gave me a death stare, moved on and tried to influence the younger gals in the home, telling them there is evil here and witchcraft working. I informed the father of the home, a seasoned Christian man, missionary for years, minister of the gospel. He stepped in, and asked that operator to leave! Turned out she is going to bethels school.

I want to assure you that text is one of the worst forms of communication, which robs the reader of both intonation and body language. Without those, it is so very hard to determine the humble intent of my thoughts toward you. Everything I say here after is to be taken not at all as an accusation or with any anger or ill intent. God Bless you brother. I never understood the claim that says the church being a place of myriads of visible and tangible spiritual experiences... is a matter of faith? Example: My friend's wife says she believes because she saw a man's leg grown out. Now, she admits, she needs to keep finding places where these things are done to have any belief. Her beliefs are as temporal as those of the Israelites; it only lasted as long as the miracles did. Unlike 2 Corinthians 5:7, she lives by Sight and not Faith. Do I believe God still answers prayers and heals, of course. But I don't believe that they are so obvious and so frequent as to rob us of our faith. Perfect example is the healing of Joy Davidman - the wife of C.S. Lewis. Anglican priest Peter McBride anointed her and prayed over her on the day of their wedding. Over time she was healed and they even went on a proper honeymoon. She eventually died of cancer 3 years and 3 months later, but God was so gracious in giving them that time to experience the act of marriage. Yet doing it this way, He never let them put their full focus on this life or falsely believe that this was their home. It's odd that people, like my friends down the street, see the Gospel of Christ's incarnation, sinless life, substitutionary death, resurrection, ascension, and His coming again to judge - as just a Starting Point, a springboard into some form of higher spirituality. The more I read God's word, the more I see that the Gospel isn't just a starting point, but it is the point. If the faithful preaching of the Gospel isn't alive enough... Faith comes by hearing, right? Hearing what? The Gospel. The Gospel isn't just for unbelievers, it is the only true hope of the believer and the only real encouragement. I'm so glad that God didn't direct us to preach anything else.

It is true that salvation doesnt come from the sign gifts, but it doesnt come from justification/called/rebirth/OSAS either, as this is just the start of our spiritual journey, the first step. If you stop there and remain carnal, and dont pursue sanctification (from which the inheritance comes from per Acts 20.32/26.18) then you miss the point of the gospels and the whole of scripture as well. Being counted as worthy to enter the KOH/KOG through salvation of the soul/chosen/works/ is the key so you wont hear "depart from me." I agree with you wholeheartedly that churches are dead because of a lack of teaching. That is the issue I have with the NAR church here in town. Out of all the people I've interacted with, only one person had read the entire Bible, and surprisingly enough, it wasn't the pastor - he's still working on it. 😔Your church may not be like that. The only person I found that has read it was the pastors wife, who said she read it, but didn't understand it, "So the Holy Spirit told me I didn't have to read it anymore." I told her that isn't something the Holy Spirit would say. We are just finishing up a series on 2 Timothy. We hear all the instructions that God, through Paul, is giving Timothy to raise up leaders in the Church and for holy living. But in that entire book, as well as in every book of the Bible, we are directed to the Gospel and see that all of our holy living stems from the gospel and propels us to the work that God has given to the Church - the Salvation of Souls. There are things that need to be taught: - Old Testament + Church History - Proverbs/ Ecclesiastes - 3/4 of Scripture - and how Christ has fulfilled it, or will by His return. But all these things point us back to the gospel and the mission of the Church and the hope we have in the blessed appearing of Our Lord. I agree, most churches are not teaching. Most churches are little more than a Motivational speech with the name of Jesus attached to it.

Thank you for you response and sharing your insight. The church is supposed to edify believers by encouraging them to pursue sanctification from where the inheritance comes from per Acts 20.32/26.18. If you think about inheriting salvation you would have to say there is a tension here in scripture because we are taught that we dont inherit salvation it is a gift per Eph 2.8/9. So I have been shown that we are in three parts, spirit, soul, and body per 1 Thes 5.23. All three died at with Adam and all three must be redeemed, the spirit at rebirth, the body at the rapture, and the soul at the JSOC through sanctification in this life time. The church these days only addresses the spirit through justification/calling/gift/OSAS and considers our redemption as complete when in reality this is only the first step per Jn 3.3. Nobody wants to hear this because sanctification is a choice we make (2 Thes 2.13/14) to work at for reward. If the church preached the kingdom (Millennium) and how to enter it it would be alive.

The worst part to me is that people that are thinking maybe Christianity and Christ is the means for salvation, and see this, are so turned away that they want nothing to do with the Living God and His Christ. All the spiritual gifts recorded in God's word are still available to everyone who seeks and hungers for them. I know this first hand because I've experienced them in my own life. My first one I experienced is the word of knowledge. A kind, loving mother figure in the church I grew up in "read my mail" many times, as well as other men and women of God. For them to know things about me that I had never told them, or anyone for that matter, is not coincidence. And most of those people who the Holy Spirit spoke through at times that I needed to hear certain things also happen to pray in tongues. I was skeptical my whole life about tongues from visiting some strange churches as a kid, but when I saw these men and women who lived righteous lives fully believed and practiced their prayer language, it made me hunger deeply for my own. I fasted 7 days on a mission trip in Brazil and struggled to overlook the intellectual barriers I had built up. It took me awhile, but I kept telling myself "all kinds of crazy things are recorded in the Bible, so quit judging things by how they look or sound." That was the key to my breakthrough. My point in all this is to say that, yes the video is very off-putting, but besides the "necking" I don't think you have the right to judge any believer based off what something looks or sounds like. I mean there are churches out there that believe any music besides old school hymns are of the devil. I knew one guy that taught drums are satanic and any church that uses a drumset is worshiping the devil. It would be different if they were teaching actual doctrine that contradicts the Word of God, which I do not see in this video. There are too many critics in the world, but we should strive to look at others through a lens of abundant grace and quit carrying the burden of having to classify these people as living in the flesh or the spirit. I'm sure there intentions are pure and God provides increasing grace to those of us who are seeking His presence earnestly. Hope this finds you well, brother.

I too thank God that I got out of pentecostal/charismatic churches not long of the Toronoto "blessing" arrived here in Australia in the late 1990s. The pastor was encouraging us to dive into the wave but it never seemed right to me. I didn't actually leave because of that, I left because I didn't like the loud and repetitive music but I think God might have used it to get me out. I've never liked loud music.

I was in choir and told it was a higher priority than work and school and we were on the front lines of battle. They told us to jump and I was always getting chided for not acting like I was at a football game on stage. I didn’t feel comfortable with more and more stuff before I left. I was told I got an evil spirit from yoga and needed an exorcism. Not sure how a Christian can have the Holy Spirit and yoga butt demons I needed to fart or burp or vomit out. I was told God told them I was going to marry my boyfriend and when we broke up, they heard God differently or God changed His mind. I was watching Strange Fire on KZbin and listening to BOT Radio Network and people were super angry when I told them what I learned and what I had discernment over and I created quite the disruption on my way out.

David Paul: WHY aren't you a cessationist? That's what the bible says in many passages. Simple logic. Mark 16:20 First, Paul says tongues are for a SIGN. Therefore all of the gifts listed in Mark 16;17-18 are SIGN gifts. They are NOT for the church. So verse 20 Flat out tells you that the Apostles and only the apostles, CONFIRMED THE WORD WITH SIGNS. The signs proved that they were from God and not false teachers. That "WORD" HAS BEEN confirmed. It's the Bible. Therefore by the time the apostles died, then all of the sign gifts are gone. The bible is finished. There isn't one verse that ever says the common person could do signs, nor does it say that anyone else confirmed God's word. It's called Apostolic Authority. No one could do anything unless an Apostle was there. The proof of that is where Philip was in Samaria. The Holy Spirit did not come to certain people just by his preaching. Plus not one word of what Philip said was recorded BY HIM. It was LUKE. Luke recorded other people's signs; not his own. So here's the point: WHY did Philip have to send for the top two Apostles; Peter and John; if Philip could have gotten the job done? Again it proves Apostolic Authority. Paul had it directly from Jesus. He is not of the 12 but he was directly chosen by Jesus. Paul says tongues would cease and they did. The apostles are dead; the sign gifts are gone because the bible is finished.

I would suggest to you as a brother in christ to actually look at the continuist teachings, and I truly believe you will see that this is not as simple as you seem to think. One of the leading cessationists Dr. Thomas Schriner is a strong cessationist but even he in his book would tell you. There is no clear message in scripture to suggest that the gifts of the spirit would cease, also the seperation between the gifts and "sign gifts" is not a distinction found in the bible. I would suggest you look at any debate between a cessationist and a continuationist. There are many churches like my church that are very controlled in using the gifts, we follow the teachings of the bible very closely and love the Lord. Churches like bethel are extremists that reject the explicit teachings of the bible and they should not be used to paint all believers in the continuation of the gifts

Again this is a topic that requires deep biblical study on both sides, just repeating what you have heard justin peters and others say will not lead you to the truth. When I was younger I saw a lot of this and I just accepted it. The older I get the more I read scripture and out of the pages come be humble, be watchful, do good not evil, get rid of immorality, pray , seek God, dont gossip and be aware of your testimony. I find myself repenting on daily basis and becoming more aware of what God wants of me yet I still sin but my desire is more abs morevto please him. I stood in many meetings like the above desperately hoping that mental illness would dramatically leave je but it didnt. Thevtimes when God brought peace to my soul was in the early hrs of the night crying out to him and he so often brought strength to carry on. I listened to a sermon yesterday by Tim Delana - Times Square Church - and he gave the best explanation/definition of worship I have ever heard. From Genesis 22…worship is obedience to YAHWEH! They have no concept of what true worship is.

I am a trained pianist and understand the moody music affects. If the music and lyrics don't honor our Savior Jesus, then we may as well be in a piano lounge drinking beer!

@@breezybird403 I totally agree with you. Music in church can be glorious and worshipful to our God. The issue with these bad churches is they play mood music during the entire sermon to make the people feel some sorta way. Almost as a way to get your eyes off of the false or shallow teaching. It’s really manipulative.

I was happy to recently find a small conservative church where I could finally call home. Two Sundays ago, Hillsong music was a major part of the worship. I am now listening to Konsvinger Lutheran all the way from here in California. It seems my heart may find its home in a Lutheran church after a lifetime of non-denominational churches. Thankful to find peace.

The contrast between these ungodly videos and a video of Christians in Communnist China is mind blowing. The Chinese Christians meeting in secret in threat of imprisonment or death compared to these out of control incidents falsely reported to be movements of God, is painfully obvious!!! God bless all true worship. May someone please speak the truth to these “Christian leaders”.

I was in the charismatic circles for a few years in my twenties.I once caught on that what was going on in church was not a clear understanding of "new testament " Christianity. People laughing uncontrollably loud at inappropriate times during serious points in sermons.And the pastor was fine with it.On top of that the pastor would bring up the name of one Mike bickle on many occasions and reference him taking trips to heaven. When I eventually Googled bickle, I knew this was a false prophet.And the pastor was deceived and leading others into deception. I ran,not walked.That was 12 years ago.Ive never looked back .I thank the Lord for delivering me from being lead into the error of that movement any further.
