What about Tasmania? It would be helpful if you could include Tasmania reports too.

Burning questions for you... 🙏😅... Keen to buy land for 250k, and put a $300k kit home onto it plus set up elec, septic, water. How do we even start? Is step one find the quotes for above, see the bank, get pre approval, apply for grants, hope to god to buy the land in time? Really confused? Thank you so much

Kit homes can be tricky for banks to lend on. Purchasing land and building a home can be a complex process, but there are a few key steps you can take to get started. Here's a general overview of the process: Research: Research the different areas where you are interested in buying land. Look at factors such as location, zoning, and infrastructure to find the best options for your needs. Get quotes: Look for quotes for services such as building costs, electricity, septic, and water installation, as well as for the kit home you're interested in. This will give you a better idea of the total cost of the project. Consult with a mortgage broker or a bank: Get a pre-approval from your bank or a mortgage broker. This will help you understand the maximum amount you can borrow and the best type of loan for your situation. Apply for grants: Some states and territories have grants available for first home buyers and new home constructions, you can check with your state government to see if you are eligible. Find land: Once you have a good understanding of the costs and the amount you can borrow, start looking for land that meets your criteria. It's good to have pre-approval in place, as it will make you more attractive to the seller. Close the deal: Once you've found the land you want to buy and you have finalised your loan application, you can close the deal. Build your home: After you've closed the deal, you can start building your kit home once you have the loan approval through. It's important to keep in mind that this is a general overview and the process can vary depending on the location, the lender and the specific situation. It's always best to consult with a professional, such as a real estate agent, a mortgage broker, a builder or a solicitor to get guidance and advice on the buying process and to ensure that you are following the correct process.

Would you guys be able to do a video taking us through the entire process of owning a home through some of these no deposit home ownership programs? Like are there any hidden costs? What am I expected to pay, is it really no deposit or do I still have to have some amount of saving, are there any pitfalls and what are our rights as a consumer signing up on these schemes/programs? What home owner grants are applicable to me if I sign up to one of these programs, is it too good to be true?

Is the national level grant on top of the state level? In other words I could get the home builder grant say 10k and if in queensland for example get another 15k, assuming new build?
@MortgageBrokerAustralia2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Last Samurai. You certainly can get any state and federal grants available at the same time, provided you qualify for them

Would love to know what schemes are available for first home buyers who are Australian permanent residents living in ACT, not Australian citizenships, please!? my husband and I are buying an off-the-plan property in Canberra and it will be finished by February 2022, but the research I have done and the mortgage brokers we have consulted with say there is no available grants for which we could be eligible for because of our residency status, except the Home Buyer Concession Scheme in ACT (only covers stamp duty). Is this true? Thanks

Thanks Ana, that's a great question. Depending on when you signed the contract, you might be eligible for the home build grant (need to be citizens). For more details, please visit: www.revenue.act.gov.au/covid-19-assistance/homebuilder-grant

That's your opinion! Personally, I like it... Gets to the point. Slow talkers drive me mad. That was rude.
