im surprised you did not mention unlimited self revives, its one of the most op stuff in cw imo. I don’t see why you can down 3+ times. also the abilities we had in bo4 like thor’s hammer imo is better and WAY more fun to use than stuff like aether shroud

You had to get enough kills to use the specialists, it was a free save if you got cornered which is why I never use it unless I’m gonna die or to revive my teammate. Actually super balanced imo, it’s so useful if you’re not spamming it and wasting it

@@Timdeenter yea i dont think they are useless, but bo4 abilities also gets you out of tuff situations while also being cool. I would much rather strike zombies with thor’s hammer rather than my gun dealing more damage in ring of fire imo. just one of those more fun things imo though not really crucial

Agreed. Most of my Cold War zombies runs were ended due to boredom instead of a skill issue. There’s no punishment for abusing self revives in CW besides a slight cost increase. Nothing in CW felt earned like in previous titles.

I think a really simple way to tell if a map has character and is unique is to just describe it without naming it. For example “the castle map, the prison map, the pentagon, the theater, the WW1 map, the 1920s map, the western map, the titanic map, etc. Like to me the only Cold War map that is unique and not basic is Mauer (Berlin map). Is overly-simplified sure, but when I was a casual and couldn’t name the maps that’s what I did. It just simply isn’t like that in CW.

Man I would love a survival style zombie game. I feel like an open world experience where you could collect items like wonder weapons, monkey bombs, other devices, and be in an apocalyptic world and have to build shelter to survive would be great. Maybe you could access portals to play round based maps to gain rewards. Like a portal to origins and if you complete the Easter egg, you get access to the staffs in your base and the open world. It would mesh the concept for round based and outbreak into one mode. Especially if you could start files with your friends.

I’m actually so happy you gave a shoutout to Onslaught. That mode went from being absolute trash to one of the best, most pure things ever added to zombies. You load into a tiny, enclosed map with tight spacing and try to survive the unending hordes of zombies; what’s more traditionally great than that.

On the operators, I suggest we do what launch BO2 did with the CIA agents. Have operators on more survival based maps/experiences (onslaught, outbreak), and on more storyline based experiences (round based maps with main EE's) have a named crew. That way, you get the best of both worlds, as Outbreak is really replayable, and I see it being enough of a driving force for Micro transactions in zombies and, that way, us OG fans can have the cool named crew with a more personal storyline

I think what they need to do is have main maps that have a set cast of characters, and then maybe after you beat the main quest for that map you unlock a smaller survival version of that map that has operators instead

I really think zombies just needs like 2-3 years off and a fresh restart. New characters with backstories that are brought on through the maps and lore bits or dialogue. Really get back to the roots of what made this game mode special. Just work on maybe two maps if that at launch with a third simple remaster like The Giant. There’s been so much chaos around this game mode since BO4 that it’s time for a reset and come back with some BANGERS

For me for it to be good I want round based zombies with good unique maps. They can do an open world style map like outbreak for the casuals but the main focus should be round base. There needs to be good unique easter eggs similar to BO3/4. A super easter egg with an actual good reward for completing like IW zombies. What would make this game great is having a legit boss fight that can top in my opinion the best boss fight which is IWs Mephistopheles. I think most of these were mentioned but thought I would share anyways.

I agree with you almost all the way. I didnt have a good pc back then, so my main cod was cod2, and when cod5 came out i couldnt play it for 2 years, I was running it in 640x480... So i missed out a lot of cod zombies juice, and i havent played any untill cold war zombies came out.... I watched a ton of vids about old cod zombies but i feel like CWZ made a lot of improvements, the main issues was the ammount of things we got during its life time. So, i didnt play with the really grindy and hard zombie cods, however... The progression was okay alltogether, a little on the eiser side but it was fine, the weapon spawn in system was too op, I agree on that they should change that. The point system should also change as you said. The main mechanics were fine imo, and all the side activites were really good imo too. And now for my main problem THE COMPLETE LACK AND DRIPFED CONTENT! Eventhough i really enjoyed the story line, they should improve on story telling. The operator system should go away or be limited, like you said, for the greater good, a well put together overarching story. The maps were soulles, except die machine and mauer, but man, while i enjoyed outbreak for what it was, theye were laughable, they did not work at all in zombie mod. I noticed that most of the community was okay with CWZ, i really feel like that now more than ever they should listen to the community for all these tweaks in the game, even if most stays like IN CWZ, at least it was enjoyable. For myself, i would be glad with a zombies mod like CWZ, but more of it.

I heavily dislike the upgrading perk system in vanguard, an idea I had was to have the perks normal like waw-bo3 but can upgradable like similar to the (Revelation hats)/(Bo2 perma perk) where you can do specific secret challenges with the perk (ie having to get red screen multiple times to get a bulkier Jug, or having to revive teammates multiple times get you a small immunity shield when reviving someone) but to make it not op you could probably do it for 2-4 of you perk slot. It will make the game feel less tedious to get progressively stronger and it will give assentive for player to seek for something different per game through

At the very least, it needs to be a complete product. Whether or not I agree with the design choices, it's been really tough to see developers work on a mode that has so much potential, but clearly needed more time to develop. Not just *needed* more time to develop, but *deserved* more time to develop. Releasing these under-developed ideas (even if they're fun), it betrays the consumer's trust. And I think THAT is the real issue with "zombies" right now. Call of Duty has unfortunately shown us that they are willing to sacrifice quality in order to meet deadlines. That's a big betrayal of trust. But dang it, it also needs good characters, story, atmosphere, purpose, art, themes, style, and a focus on round-based. (I'd be over the moon to have 2 maps at launch and 1 map per season, 6 maps total!) One can dream, I guess!

The time bomb. THE TIME BOMB! I just thought about it, and zelensky created the biggest plot device known to man. What if. And hear me out. What if the time bomb went to the dark Aether after the end of the universe. AND what if that time bomb was from before the beginning of the broken earth bit. BOOM. Universe reset. We're brought back into the cycle. It would be a huge reset and I'm sooo down. Anything could happen at that point. I mean think of the possibilities. Edit: What if it brings the people who press the button to go back in time to be brought back too

I’d like to see maps in the aether again. I feel we’re at a point in the new timeline that moving forward each map just isn’t fun anymore. The story sucks so why not do a map in-between die rise and buried or origins and shadows. I could see the victis cast coming back to do voice lines for a new map. Maybe even the primis cast since it’s just one map not a whole game. Dark aether in theory should be good but if all they can give is facilities then I don’t want it. Good mechanics are good but a bland and boring map won’t make people come back to it that’s why maps like mob, origins and even tranzit have more replay value than all of CW imo.

I highlt doubt the new CoD will be about the fucking Gulf War. Every other CoD game was about a conflict wherein the world was at stake, be they historical or fictional (bar maybe black ops 3?) I am a cold war zombies love it's my personal favorite game I wanna give a few things I think can be improved on within the game The Easter eggs I think are mostly fine but need to be harder to solve The progression system (perk upgrades etc) I think should be done in game sort of like vanguard (think of the double buy system from the reaper collection mod) The points system I don't really mind but because certain weapons classes easily overpower others it makes some weapons useless to bring in Boss fights I hope become harder or funner instead of being Orda or worm 5000 A core and hardcore mode (refer to Konjura it's his idea) Unique maps, I love the cold war maps but that's really because of the imo good gameplay I'd love to see maps inspired from Leviathan etc The Super Easter Egg, I don't like the super ee in cold war. It basically takes away half the in game progression which is basically the main point of the gameplay. I would love to see a super Easter egg bossfight with an exclusive reward that only true gamers can unlock. Sort of like Willard in IW. I was thinking of being able to obtain ANY wonder weapon on any map even on stuff like onslaught if that returns. I would also like to see a different gobblegum system. I think what they should do is have the crystals but the further you make it the rare crystals you get which can be used to trade for better gobblegum like a perka. If outbreak does return I only want one thing from it which is to not take half the development away from round based because I like outbreak but I don't think it's better than rbz.
