To be fair, when he was in the Impulse, he's swapping Silhouettes on the fly mid-combat, while Destiny's configuration has all its equipment tailor-made for him. Immortal Justice just doesn't seem to suit his very aggressive style. And the Black Knights seem to forget Shinn soloed whole squads of Destroys with only the Legend as backup during the later half of Destiny.

The reason they had to "steal" back the ship was because COMPS was suspended indefinitely at this point. When Konoe was ordered to return to base which was ORB. Meaning the ship originally belonged to ORB. Hijacking the ship would absolve ORB responsibility as being a perpetrator of instigating anything against foundation. This is why when the ship was being taken ORB sent out an alert to Zaft And Earth federation that the ship was being hijacked. Obviously foundation see saw through the rouse but this does give ORB a legit reason deflect any blame onto them.

I loved the movie. It was so much fun and it made me like the characters again. It was peak Cosmic Era. Funny story involving my viewing of the film in theatres: I bought a ticket to go see the Sub because everyone I knew who was going didn't want to see the Dub. When we were seated (theatre was packed), everyone was confused because the movie was dubbed. Turns out the theatre screwed up in the system and got the Sub and Dub mixed. Most people left to go see the Sub in the room next door, including all my friends, while I stayed to watch the Dub. Only major complaint: How the Dub pronounced Lacus' name. It's now an ongoing joke amongst my friends, along with the indecent thoughts XD Side note: After SEED Freedom was out, the prices for ZGok kits went up in price because people wanted it. Little did they know that Athrun's ZGok is getting an HG released later this year.

I can agree, I wasn't a big fan of Seed, or general most AU Gundams. I'm mainly a Tomino Gundam fan. But I enjoyed this a lot. But then, I got to see it in theatre's which makes it my first Gundam movie. It's basically if the rest of Zeta, the rest of Chars Counterattack and the entirety of Cross Ange were merged into one big movie. As with the Shinn thing. you know the big part I liked about the movie was the plot that was going for the plot of lacus and Kira’s and their relationship where It’s being challeng for each of them. Lacus; has a tough duty to make a choice as a leader knowing that to her feelings, this isn’t what she was like and that’s because she is being manipulated but not knowing how and how she noticed how orphee The brave Warrior Is getting real charmed with her. Kira; trying to keep fighting to end the war but has doubts on how he’s handling it and it gets worse when he overhears how someone like orphee and his team saying that They’ll be able to end this war In a perfect conclusion but also kira thinks is orphee really the type of person that could give lacus something that he couldn’t or orphee tells him of how could he help Lacus or be with her with the blood of his enemies; which I got admit almost like how this was for the story.

There is something I have to say about the Athran and Kagali mind reading scene. It is what EVERY GUY WOULD DO in that moment. I mean if you want to really surprise someone who is reading your mind, recite boring drivel such as written down laws. The animation and fight scenes are great but Lacus's origin and the main antagonist ( whats with fukuda and blonde antagonist ) killed this movie for me. The origin of Lacus give me the impression that she has been unintentionally manipulating everyone around her with her accord ability, meanwhile the main antagonist Orphee are basically just a 2024/lesser version of Embryo from Cross Ange, both are men-child with superior complex, both hate the heroine's love interest ( Tusk/Kira ) and deem them worthless/failure ( Fun fact : Tusk/Kira look exactly the same )

@@Myuutantobasuta I meant it ruined the movie for me because in GSD Lacus was barely able to pilot Infitine Justice but now because she suddenly a accord in this movie, she can pilot Proud Defender and use multi-lock system way better than Kira, I understand Accords are superior than ultimate coordinator in certain way but the abilites she shown in the final battle make zero sense to me. With the antagonists we have in this movie, I am starting to appreciate Gilbert as a character, he is cunning and manipulative but have a very high level of self-control, he was very calm even after been defeated by kira while betrayed by Rey shortly afterward, even though his methods and destiny plan are questionable and will eliminate anyone that stand against him but he does not seem to be racist against the natural, Unlike Orphee/Aura/Black knights that has superior complex with child-like behavior when situation are not in fav to them. Not to mention the existent of Accord kind of undermine characters like Rau and Rey as both of them hate Kira for been ultimate coordinator even though Accord in theory are better, hopefully the sunrise/bandai will fix this plothole in the future. Sorry about the rant.

It's hinted at that the tower countries did not trust compass having the power of the destiny and strike freedom. The Justice is MIA since Arthun is doing his own thing in the shadows. Orb being neutral offers to take and I guess keep the gundams as a sign of neutrality. So low key compass gets the OG justice and The rising freedom a version of the freedom they got from temu. This also Lind hurt Kira as it was also hinged at an action done by Lacus and he seemed to be a sore spot for him. Without the freedom it feels like his sword has been taken and he's once again powerless.

While it may not have been the best show, it was one of the first animes that really pulled me into anime and Gundam as a whole. Love the movie. One where I agree with the MAL scores. I gave the movie 8.5/10 and MAL gave it 7.94/10 Close enough. I also agree because I rank it higher with 00 Awakening(MAL 7.32) and Narrative (MAL 6.54) 00 movie ruined the main story for me while Freedom fixed my problems in Destiny so, all in all it was a pretty awesome movie. If you really think about it, Compass is pretty much the Preventers of Gundam Wing in the Cosmic Era.... just with more gundams and a battleship of their own. 19:08 - Actually, that's Prayer Reverie and he's.... Mu's clone so definitely not Rau or Rey who was cloned from Al da Flaga or Mu's dad. Also, funny story, but Prayer himself had a clone...carbon human and he was already killed in CE 74 after battling Lowe and Gai. 20:51 - I have to admit. I loled at seeing both Athrun and Cagalli do Dandy thing from New Game. It actually makes me think if they did watch it along with Kira and the others or just the animators for laughs.

I heard it is a retelling of the movie with a lot of the rushed over parts filled in and had more details on what was going on so you are less confused. The moonlight Valkyrie is about Shin, Luminaria, Agnes, and Rey's life when they are still in military school. It seems like Ages does not specifically go for BF of other girls. She likes guys that are of high status since she has this mentality that only high ranking like people in FAITH or Kira are the ones that fits her standing. She feels proud that she was one of the ones that survived the last war, but that was only because her skill are a little above average, but nothing compared to ace pilots like Shin, Kira or Mu. She got the tittle of moonlight Valkyrie for her good looks and excellent personal performance at the academy. She was teamed up with Shin at the time so her team grade was pretty low because of Shin, that is why she seem to hate him even though he is part of FAITH in the movie. There was also a story of how Agnes had a BF that told her that he always wanted to pilot the Freedom once in his life so she used her connections to have her and him deliver machines to Kira and the others. She was in the justice I believe and the BF was in the Freedom. It turns out the BF was a spy and he took the freedom and gave all the information on it to presumably Foundation and that is how Orpheas got that White and Gold mobile suit. It was based off the freedom that they stole. I believe that is the most important information that I know.

I liked the original Seed and Destiny series, (dubbed by the Ocean Group), but new English Dub that went with the remastered versions really is a let down and seriously detracts from the series. I believe the Freedom movie is done by the same dub company unfortunately. Other than the dub, it's pretty clear this was meant to be a full series but they condensed it down into a 2+ hour movie, which didn't allow any time to flush out any of new characters or allow us to see what was going on with some of the supporting characters, from the past series. Nor did allow enough time to tell a cohesive story but still this movie is going gang busters in Japan, which means there is a good chance we will get a follow up movie or better a full series. I still liked it overall.

I thought it was really bad. One of reason why I liked seed was cause the more serious tone to the show. The movie was more a comedic/fan service fiesta. The story was horrible and nothing made sense. First off why can they read peoples mind like hello? makes no sense.... why is the mom so young is she a clone or something?? AND ALL THE TALK ABOUT LOVE omg.... wow like this movie was made for little girls. The people who came to watch in the movie was laughing cause of how stupid the movie was lmao. The only good points are the actions were decent... the dubbed version didnt get the old cast from the original dub so that was terrible. The final fight scene with lacus in a doggy style in that suit and combining with the freedom fucking in space looking so cringe, I alpmost couldnt handle it. Everything cool or serious about the original series was completely gone. Terrible plot even for seed standards. AND WHY is there a character that wants to be everyones girlfriend? like what kind plot line or character is this, its so stupid lmao...

Yeah the tone was weird, I think about as dark as it got was the requiem laser still microwaving people but they seemed pretty ok with it

Best way I can summarize why the rising freedom and immortal? Justice fell underpowered compared to the strike. Freedom of the infinite Justice one due to regulation. They could not be in Gemma cancer or equipped, so they could not be nuclear-powered like the freedom in the Justice and 2, probably other regulations. Aside from the engine or cancel or think since they were now not random. You know, non soldiers like they weren't seeing destiny.Compass wasn't officially recognized world military so they had to abide by various treaties.They probably had to tone down the power of the thermal subforces due to international treaties

@Myuutantobasuta It wasn't mentioned in the movie but if you pay attention to the Acronym, at the beginning of the movie, further rising freedom. It doesn't have the nuclear drive acronym. Like the strike freedom does it has a different o? S acronym and since compass is an official world military kind of like the u. N. It probably has to abide by treaties if you're applying real world logic to it. And I believe in seed destiny. It was mentioned that after the end of the war inseed in jammer, cancel or equipment mobile suits were considered illegal.

This is movie that is the fun type of bad.... I saw it at the theatres and I was laughing at how cheesy, corny and cliche a lot of it was. But 100% it is not a good movie if you take it seriously.

For me GSF is not a good movie and is more nostalgia. The story is just not interesting and too complex imo, also stuff are done way too easy (like they have 3 gundams laying around just in case? Also where was athrun the whole time and how does black Knights know him? Nothing is explained about this and so much more are just there and we need to accept that, furthermore stuff are changed from the previous 2 seasons in a bad way, example: Kira was always this go to guy, who is cool and knows what to do, now he was so fucking child etc. Ps. How did athrun went into his justice gundam during that fight????

Ehhh I’m mixed on it it’s definitely a tonal departure from the original seed stories but I would say most of the characters are acting in line with their history despite the comedy slant. Ps. The Justice Gundam was inside the Z’gok but gunpla nerds for the past year have been pulling their hair out trying to figure out the engineering of how it fit inside there.

The movie not even about sex.. .omg ... that such an interesting way to look at it .. no .. it's about the foundation wanting to continue the ....destiny plan and wanting the world.. to be full of people who's genetics are decided for who they are their own destiny predetermined at birth. So basically a world full of coordinators and to kill all the naturals. So basically the whole conflict of the entire series.. They basically just wanna rule over everything.. ofc kira and the others won't let them.. but alot of stuff happens in this movie that goes from small scale to over the top. .I had so much fun watching it I need to watch it a second time just to process everything that happened.
