There used to be quite a number of Nigerians in Roysambu until around 2015/16 when the then minister of interior and security deported quite a number from Roysambu and some moved out of Roysambu. Most of them used to say they attend the university where you were seeing students calles USIU-A which is an American university hosted in Kenya serving Africans hence the A in its acronym. Near the university where you saw the tall residential student hostels was a famous club called Memphis and most Nigerians frequented there. There are a few Nigerians in Roysambu as far as I know and there's a restaurant there that serves Naija food that you passed by along TRM drive where you saw the tall apartments. I understand most Nigerians are in Eastlands now, especially Donholm area. Also club Gemini in Kilimani is patronised by a lot of Nigerians. Your Kenyan friend was a letdown, he just goes with stories he hears without confirming them. He is not sure about the area he took you. It is called Roysambu estate within the larger Roysambu constituency/sub-county in Nairobi. I hope this helps.
