How many remember Anti Social Social Club? Nobody can be quite sure how Anti Social Social Club ended up so wildly successful, but by the same stretch, nobody can deny that - as streetwear brands go - few have been as influential in such a short time span
Neek Lurk’s iconic brand - described by the man himself as his “mood board” took the industry by storm. For a time they were all over the place, and the business took off even faster than the guys at Anti Social could have imagined

That’s hilarious you mention getting compliments from random older women when you wear your assc stuff. Happened to me a few months ago while I was out at a restaurant. She was probably around 40 saying how much she “loved the saying” on my hoodie. Sad thing is assc could’ve been so much bigger if shipping delays and customer service was better. Brand got too big, too quick.

c'mon bro how lucky would you have to be to have Kanye wear your brand only after 3 WEEKS launching your brand? the brand definitely has charisma but it was managed so poorly. If more effort was made on the quality, design, customer service, shipping, etc etc, this brand easily could've been one of the big boys bringing $50mil revenue or who knows even more. Once in a life time opportunity just wasted.. it'll probably never die out but it'll never be as big as it could've been, thats for sure

I know… seems like he was totally taken by surprised then handled it poorly. If he would have been up front about being a small operation and released super limited quantities for high prices people would have paid it because of the hype. This could have floated him for a while until he was able to scale up more.

all it came down to was the guy not hiring enough staff. once you see how successful the brand is gonna be, you take out a phat loan; and pay a bunch of employees. within a few months pay the loan back. bam. problem solves. the guy was not a businessman, he was simply a designer who ended up being forced into managing a business because he didn't know the logistics of this kind of business.

I swear so many of these streetwear brands claim to be “about” so many things, and yet all they produce is generic products with their logo plastered all over them. For all the negative talk graphic tees get as a whole, at least SOME graphic tees can actually represent something. Prime comparison, a company like Simply Southern - while nowhere near my cup of tea, I’m not southern and not a girl lol - at least represents something. Their shirts are ABOUT southern lifestyle, activities, etc. and their designs are actual art, rather than just a generic logo. This isn’t a diss on ASSC, but it’s pretty much true of MOST streetwear brands in general. I have a world of respect for the ones that actually mean something, but too many of them are just posturing.

Im glad this era of clothing is over. Terrible companies selling gilidan tees for a high price and horrible shipping. Then they proceed to post daily flexing what they spent with your money but won't care if you order got shipped. People liked this brand because of the hype, but now i feel like people wear whatever they want now

Awful customer service on quotes? My man, customer service was almost non existent with that brand. Not saying for personal experience, this coming from the fools who bought the brand. Man, take me back to the time where streetwear was streetwear, not this "luxury streetwear" crap only for clout chasers.

Huh? They're still around and sell out every drop. This genre of KZbin vids calls out "dead" brands or "fallen off" rappers despite the brand or rapper still being substantially incredibly more successful than the person even making the video themselves. I don't like the brand but they sell out every drop, they're doing better than 99% of streetwear brands.

My intent with these videos is not to shade the people who created them for “falling off”. I don’t even approach from that angle, it’s more about calibrating the brand for what it was and what it accomplished. All things pass, all brands will eventually be less popular at some point, that’s the intent with my rise and fall series. Even when most of these brands “fell off” there creators cashed out so good on them. By fall off I really mean they are not as popular and visible as they used to be, not that they are trash brands now

No, what they do is the mark all the items as sold out once a certain time reaches, it's so they can guilt trip you on buying something because it's limited. They even do it with the vip line, I've seen a lot of clothing companies that do this strategy, but most of them fell off already
