What happened to Bishop Lamont?

Now in 2004 Bishop Lamont released his first mixtape called Who I got to kill to get a record deal. This mixtape caught the attention of Kanye west who wanted to sign him and the two of them made plans to meet at the Game’s video shoot for his single called dreams (2005). Bishop lamont attended the video shoot however Kanye wasn’t able to make it, but instead of meeting Kanye West, Bishop Lamont met the west coast legend and Aftermath entertainment owner Dr.Dre
Instead of waiting for Dre to hear his music organically Bishop Lamont took matters into his own hands, he walked up to Dr.Dre and handed him a copy of his mixtape. Two weeks after their brief interaction Dr.Dre appeared in a radio interview and expressed interest of working with Bishop Lamont. He was signed to Aftermath later that year.
Now When Bishop Lamont joined Aftermath Entertainment his career looked promising. He got the attention of Kanye west and Dr.Dre and that itself proves that he had a lot of potential. Unfortunately his career didn’t take off on Aftermath entertainment leaving his fans wondering…you know the rest.

Not most. Half. Half of the artists have a bad run. The other half become legends: eM, Game, 50, Kendrick, Snoop, X to the Z, etc. [+]

Major labels are not only responsible for making artists famous and bringing them to lights.... one of their main duties is also to keep "some" artists in the shadow until they're out of their moment. Don't let that go over your head!!!
@Thysta
@Thysta 4 жыл бұрын
But why? People don't understand that only because you can rap and have "street cred", that doesn't mean you fit to be an artist. Name one person who made a career after leaving Dr. Dre. The Game had one good record and that's it.
