B5 could gain their own success even if they were just a boy band. Like Backstreet Boys, they still had a great hits in 2000s and gained their sales. We know B2K sold more and got a spotlight. Also, having huge advantaged in singing and smooth dancing. The music competition was tight but that's not meant that B5 didn't deserved the attention and exposure in the shuffle. It's all about how the records label treat and promote their artist.

If your budget was big enough, you got a video and radio spins. If your song was not hot it was over with because it cost a ton just to get a video and to be worked in radio. At some point this must stop. The non compensation of Artist has been happening for far to long. I would suggest to any new Artist do your homework before you enter the entertainment business. There are so many stories out of the good the bad and the ugly and the ones who actually get what is owed to them ( Stevie Wonder).
