The fact that he makes an entire living off Abbie but has another daughter that he's abandoned really doesn't sit right with me. Even if the mother of the other daughter has agreed to spilt, it really bothers me when fathers don't raise their children. Kids do best with both biological parents in the picture, even if it's split custody. Even if she never mentions it, this girl will grow up with a hole in her heart from never knowing her dad and feeling his love. Making a career off one and ditching the other is just terrible. I've loved watching Abbie grow up, but many things about this family has come off as shady, and if you mention any of it, Asa will refer to you as a "hater" and their superfans will be sent after you.

When both Asa and Priscilla have their own channels along with their son it is mainly about the money - They put Abbie in situations that really are not educational - more for entertainment - I'm sure they plan out ideas for new videos to keep the channel followers coming back - just like all the reality tv shows - not everything is what it appears to be - I like Jorgias journey with autism - the mom is very kind and shares her struggles and accomplishments without turning it into some big production - no I do not watch fathering autism anymore when so many others are truly struggling to raise their autistic kids each and every day with multiple issues.

People need to leave this family alone they are trying to bring awareness to autism. I see where they do ask abby if she wants to be on camera, and sometime she says no, and they will respect that. I heard Priscilla does a lot with abby off camera. I think that has to do with Priscilla not feeling comfortable on camera. Some people get shy on camera. Asa said he tried to get in his other daughter's life, but the mom wanted him out of the picture, and as far as chil support, we only know what we are tol by asa. I love this family. I have a feeling that if putting a camera in abby face hurt her mental, they would have stopped. They only bring awareness to autism and help other parents who have kids like/ or are similar to abby to get the help they need.

I'm an Occupational Therapist and have seen a lot of parenting out there. Most of the time I see situations where you have a severely autistic child with one or both parents working. The child spends all day on an IPAD, not getting enough in the way of life skills because the parents are too exhausted and are in survival mode. Abbie is obviously a happy person. The parents are able to spend more time with her because of youtube. These kids need to be exposed to more life experiences to have a higher quality of life than most I see. Bottom line... Abbie has the best quality of life possible (much better than any other child/teen high on the spectrum that I have seen). In addition, if anyone judged me by who I was 15 years ago - I was a hot mess. I am no where near the person I was back then. Also Asa is not a preacher for Pete's sake. He is around 42 years old now, so this "affair" was probably at least 12 or so years ago. He would have been in his late 20's or so, maybe early 30's at the oldest. The truth is, Asa is the reason fathering autism is so successful. Many people try to get their own youtube channel and do not have this success. He has the personality to make it work. Most of you could not do it, and I don't by the higher than thou attitude I see here. I don't have the personality to make video's, that is for sure, and I can admit that. It is easy to say, "I would never do that to my child", when the truth is you could not do it even if you wanted to. Get over the jealousy, that is all I see here.

To say anything different without knowing all of the facts is irresponsible…. Autism has often been taboo and this channel helps others with advice from those that have “lived” through it…. and from what has been reported never has paid any child support for . awhile back before abbey turned 18 dad podcast did a video about them , come to find out not only did they make all that money from the show but asa was collecting ssi for abbey . she only would have been entitled for this if they were low income . they are far from that . some were going to turn them in but abbey was almost 18. with the money they make they don't need 781. dollars. and i can bet 99% that she gets no money except a few cookies and ice cream

And please don't insult my intelligence and say Abbie does consent. Asa and Priscilla Maass quickly realized they had a gold mine with showing Abbie on the internet. Fortunately, the days of Fathering Autism are coming to an end and not because of any laws but because people see them as the grifters they are and are tired of their lies and distortion of the truth about Abbie. It is so easy for people who do not walk in the life of a family with a disabled family member to throw shade and accusations. Y'all hate because it is fun for you to hate and you are the problem because you enjoy hating. The truth is, the only way to normalize people with disabilities is through representation -- to share their authentic selves and for the world to have them as a part of society. This family's vlog has been immensely helpful and educational for my family as we navigate the autism journey with my young grandson who is newly diagnosed. This vlog is actually used to train behavior technicians to do ABA therapy too. Whether the rest of you understand it or not, accept it or not, the fact is that by being so open about their journey -- they are helping others and they are providing much needed representation within society. So quit your hating!

Love this family and its a shame anyones judgmenting this family...there are real abusive families out there and this is not one of them..its helpful to our family with 2 severely autistic twins...look at how clean and beautiful and growth this girl has gotten compared to a lot...shes not missing anything...and to put them selves and their struggles out there to help other dealing with autism is a huge help...dont judge unless you have an autistic child and an education about the battle to raise them with very low funding from the government if any...

Abbie wears dingy t shirts and soaked diapers, playing with trash, while her family travel, eat, and do all the things. That you can still defend this family after seeing the state of Abbie and clear regression over years makes me sad for you. Your ignorance and blind adoration is horrible.

What if you were to be filmed every day of your life and you didn't want to be filmed but couldn't speak to make it stop. Think about it, Jenny. While you may enjoy tuning into Fathering Autism for what ever reason you have, still doesn't make filming Abbie ok. Abbie is non-verbal and can't tell her father to put the camera down because one, she is severely intellectually disabled and two she can't speak. You seem to think this is all ok. I seriously want for you to really think about the millions of people who have watched Abbie in her most vulnerable times in her life and think about the millions of people on the internet who may not see Abbie as a defenseless human being but something more nefarious. If you come back and still say this is ok, it tells me you don't really care about Abbie but it's really only about what enjoyment you get out of watching poor Abbie being used as a money making tool/prop for her greedy, selfish parents. Asa can make anything appear the way he wants to because he holds the camera and can edit out what he doesn't want you to see or he can edit it to make it appear as something that is not true. Do you know what a jump cut is? I am sure you've seen footage of Abbie being prompted to do something and Asa is out of camera view and one minute Abbie is picking up a bowl to pour her cereal and then the next clip is of her sitting down eating her cereal and Asa says she independently got her own breakfast. He cut out the part where Abbie didn't do all of it by herself but he was able to edit the film to make it appear she did it. It's called movie magic and Asa has almost perfected the jump cuts. But not enough where you can clearly see he has done it. Jenny, you like to be a Fathering Autism warrior but I think you like the voyeurisms of watching this family and I am still curious as to why.
