For clarification, Darth Bane never wielded the Bane's Heart crystal in his own weapon, he merely forged it. He instead gifted it to his apprentice, Darth Zannah, who used it as one of two synthetic crystals in her personalised saberstaff, which boasted shorter blades of only 75cm instead of the standard 1m, in order to better fit her small, lean stature and specialisation in Form 3. The crystal itself was notable as it would give off powerful electrical discharges if the weapon was picked up by anyone but it's owner, making it impossible for the saberstaff to be used against Zannah should she be disarmed. It is believed, if I am not mistaken, that the Nekrosis droid wielded that very same saberstaff a millenia later, though it's history during that time is unknown - though it was likely one of the many artifacts passed along the Banite lienage from master to apprentice, all the way from Zannah and her apprentice Darth Cognus, right down to Darth Sidious - no doubt one of the few artifacts that survived Darth Gravid's attempt to destroy the lineage.

General grievous is the true rightful leader of the CIS armies, imo. Dooku was always in cahoots with Sidious and his plan, undermining Grievous and holding him back from truly devastating the Republic. Of course, if Grievous ever knew the truth why he was in a cybernetic body in the first place, he'd probably turn the entire droid army upon Dooku and Sidious both.

He seemed to be the foundation for many of the terror droid models as well as armor for the experimental units used in force unleashed 2. The big droids that attack you on kamino all have his face though its tinted black and the troopers who turn invisible and attack you with claws also have grievous masks and similar implants.
