Gelo probably should've been a football player. He's 6'4/6'5 post-up sharpshooter with minimal defense. Like if he was 6'9/6'10 I could lowkey see him maybe getting a shot in the league but at his height and play style he never had a chance. If Lonzo wasn't his brother UCLA wouldn't have even looked his way tbh.

The dude was never NBA ready, especially after leaving UCLA. he should absolutely take his rap career seriously, he legit had the most viral song out right now. he went #1 with no music video and barley any promotion. forget hooping dude needs to take this opportunity and run with it as a full time rapper.
@johndavis93215 күн бұрын
Yeah I agree wit two brothers in the league the fact bro has still not found a roster spot at this point is reason enough to say fuk hoop an jus go all out wit the wrap I mean like u said bro got a hit song and is goin viral while presumably playin wit the music what can he do if he really takes that sh!t serious? He probably got his brothers an his dad backin him so money for studio time, features, videos, etc will b a non issue so why not?

Dude is not going to be a full-time rapper. If he does, he will make a fool of himself. He is HORRENDOUS at it. You kids do not value ANYTHING because your generation did not CREATE anything. You all just exploit what others created and ruin it, like he is doing with his awful song.

That’s one game. In the NBA you need to do that almost every game. He averaged 4pts on 38% FG with bad defense, pretty uninspiring athleticism and lateral movement, no real ball handling skills, no blow by ability, plays like he’s a PF at 6’3-6’4

If you watched the Ball Brothers in high school you would have noticed LiAngelo was the least talented brother. Middle child syndrome, I think Gelo is hood good because he was born into basketball, and that is ok! But he always came across, to me, as disinterested in the sport, so when he acted out at UCLA in China, that didn’t surprise me. He only wants to go to the NBA to prove he is not the odd man out in the eyes of his father. All in all I think Gelo is trying to find his voice and may have to continue to mature as a man, which is totally okay to do-most men don’t peak in their 20s. I wish him the best and hope he can find true comfort in himself, outside the shadows and expectations of the world around him.
@joshuahannah17845 күн бұрын
What messed up gelo is the literally being the middle child if he was born last he would have more of melos passing and creativity cause melo was playing varsity in 8th grade with zo and gelo so had to be more creative to score and be useful on the court playing against such a big gap in size and athletisim then all 3 would make it

@jeremiahtalkssports18326 күн бұрын
I don't think the basketball decision makers care about a song. Nobody ever made the NBA because they made a song that's going viral lol. It's about what you do on the court. I'm glad you were actually real about his skills relative to the NBA. If he were good enough to be there, then he would've been there already. I do wish him well, because I don't like wishing against people, but if he is popping in rap all of a sudden then he should ride that wave. It doesn't mean he will have continued music success, but why not keep trying? I didn't even know he was doing music. If he wants to be serious about basketball then he should go SOMEWHERE and play. Try the Euroleague or one the top overseas leagues. If he thinks he can play in the NBA then he should definitely kill over there, so if they are wrong about you then go hoop somewhere and show them if that's what you want to do.

LiAngelo also lacks basketball IQ. He is a more than capable shooter however, there're times where he stands in the corner for three minutes three minutes at a time. He could be a good defender in some situations. He is strong and has a 6'9" wingspan but he doesn't always use his strength and wingspan to his advantage. He also doesn't have a good feel for defense overall. He is often out of position on defense. The Hornets should give him the "Dana Barros contract". The Celtics signed Dana Barros to a 10-day for the last day of the season. This was mainly to mentor Marcus Banks. Banks scored 30 so that worked out well for that game. Barros had been working out with the C's for about a month. Ball could be a 2-way player if he works on his basketball IQ. He might be better off getting into rap full time. He is better at it and will make a lot more money as well.
