He grew up, has a family, stopped smoking weed and retired from the music industry. Good for him. He gave us plenty of great music to live off of. I'm a huge Banks fan and there are times I find hidden songs out of nowhere. Dude's a legend. He's definitely underrated according to mainstream definitions. He's been working since 18 years old. Let him enjoy his retirement. Forever the PLK.

The biggest problem was that he wasnt putting a visual to his music and he wasnt putting them on easily accessible platforms. I had no idea he had that many mixtapes, i def wouldve kept up with him had i known. Im so upset that he didint get the commercial success that deserves, Hes not underrated, but hes definitely underappreciated.

Alex Tineo its mostly from the people not giving full support on his music when he drops. It frustrated him but Lloyd plays a part in that too. Losing music to groupies, supplying music with no promo, vids, drops, promising music and never come out. But from a hip hop standpoint, he gives top tier quality, lyrics are impeccable. Top 5

Its frustrating to see how Lloyd Banks has developed and not achieved more. The man is clearly lyrical and untouchable on the microphone. That became clear as day back in 2003 when i heard him on 'Dont push me'. Since then he has been my top 5 and never budged! What happened to Banks is he’s just too real and authentic with a genuine love of rapping in an industry that’s more focused on image, spot like and trends. Banks never cared about the spot light, the cameras etc it’s always just been about the music, he clearly poured his heart into his music and used it as therapy. Not a get rich quick scheme. And for that, i’ll always respect him. never sold out.

Lamont Lloyd-Harris I would take Jadakiss and Cassidy from a punchline perspective but Lloyd Banks is definitely underrated historically ..... but that’s the beauty of real hip-hop it’s a topic we would have in the barbershop and the room would be split

Lloyd Banks is one of my favorite rapper in the game and I agreed he is very underrated and his music is underrated as well. I don't understand why. If he comes out with new I definitely pick up my copy.
