What Happened to Minecraft Updates?

The game lacks basic things like PALM TREES. There are so many basic things like the End update, Redwood forests and other biomes, possibly even structures to add.

to be fair you are right but the thing with the end update is only 1/4 people ever make it there in legit survival so it would only affect 25% of people and mojang needs to code it in bedrock AND java edition so it takes a long time. and again only 25/100 people make it there anyway. But just having a tree update would be sick, they could stop updating right now as long as we get a tree and/or biome update.

The problem is that mojang never makes an update live upto full potential like amethyst,copper are barely any useful, Archaeology feels lacking,1.21 could have used tuff and copper golems as the updated was based around tuff and copper,The pale garden couldve had white pumpkins and fog as the whole community requested these two features

Copper is a beautiful and versatile set of building blocks, and as such is very useful. Copper is not like iron or gold - it's like quartz. It generates very commonly and while it's used in a few crafting recipes, it's mainly intended as a resource for building.

I think what some of these recent updates are missing are unique rewards, the creaking and warden are some of the most engaging challenges minecraft has to offer, but next to no reason to go there, the mace is a great example of what other structures should have

The problem with the most recent updates is that the content they add feels very half baked and not fleshed out enough, and instead of taking the time to improve said features, they just move on to the next thing.

I mean this yeah all the updates and/or Drops in my opinion & from my experience have been Pretty Good. I really liked the Tricky Trials Update as it brought the Trial Chambers the Breeze & many awesome content. The Bundles of Bravery was Great as the Bundle got rid of my problem of my Inventory being Full. The Garden Awakens was Good but not Perfect, the Pale Garden Biome is spooky & it’s not a Copy + Paste if the Dark Forest biome as the Trees don’t block too much Sunlight [meaning less Hostile Mobs will spawn during the Day] The aesthetic is Spooky & a bit depressing, the Creaking is Unique & the new Material Resin can be made to make Resin Blocks which look Top shelf Jaw Dropping & you can use it to Trim your Armour with a Bright Orange Colour. The Updates/Drops have brought enough content for me & I think we should appreciate what Mojang has Given us instead of complaining because it’s not Nice nor is it fair that the community is being bf unkind towards the employees at Mojang after all the Amazing things they have done for us in Minecraft.

@kolkagaming1234 Every update after 1.16 has been painfully mid. They introduce features that look cool on the outside but serve little to no actual purpose and are probably gonna be touched once and never again. Ironically the smaller updates like the armadillo update and bundles update are better because they add content that most people are actually going to use often. Mojang is a multibillion dollar company backed up by an even bigger corporation, and throughout the last few years they’ve been giving us nothing but the bare minimum of content, they do not deserve appreciation for that, and if you think they do you’re being too nice. It’s perfectly fair to criticize them when they’re half assing with each update and not listening to what their fans want.

The thing is is that as a video game developer if you dedicate yourself to doing every single peace of feedback [For example: Add Sharks add Palm Tress add a list of all this content I want] that would be overwhelming. I also have to admit when the stopthemobvote thingy occurred & Slicedlime a Mojang employee stated On Twitter that people sent him death threats over stopping the Mob Vote, I honestly thought sending death Threats to a Mojang employee is Completely unacceptable & with that kind of attitude no one is gonna want to listen to them & sending death threats to someone or anyone won’t get them anywhere in life besides rolling down a hill. So if I were to send feedback to Mojang I would be polite.

My biggest problem with these smaller updates is more work for modders to update mods. The server I play on and make video on wont have the pale garden for another couple months. By then, there may be another update. Eventually these mods we all use (and plugins) will be 3 or 4 updates behind and content creation will slowly die.

The thing is though since the updates are smaller it means the internal bits of the game should be changing not as much so mods woudnt need to have as much stuff changed so it probably might end up being faster.

@fldom4610 Thats fine and understandable, but for people who make content, a few do it for a job, server plugins and client mods are a necessity to play. How many creators do you know that only play pure vanilla. (No optifine, no zoom mod, replay mod, some form of resource pack)

the worst part about updates now is the schedule, thats also all to blame on the community because they said they wanted more frequent content, so we now get "drops" instead of the much more exciting yearly updates. But ok fine, i guess it's forgivable because Mojang is still doing great things to the game, and the community should be happy right? WRONG! people are now complaining that theres not enough content coming per update even tho these same idiots were the ones who wanted sooner drops. what do they expect? mojang just makes yearly sized updates every few months? Minecrafts community has become alot more toxic now that more young people are starting to play (young people: 0-12 years old)

My problem with the pale garden is it’s just…. A reskinned dark oak forest, it feels like a mod for beta Minecraft and not a whole update, there’s no new structures, only one new mob, flower and wood type, like, great? But mojang is such a big company that’s backed by Microsoft that I know they can do better than this.

The long awaited Update Format Was getting an old now so I’m glad that we now have Droos instead. I’m gonna stay Positive about it because it’s still new & the Game has only Received 2 drops. The Bundles of Bravery, which has blessed us with The long awaited Bundles The Garden Awakens, which introduced the Pale Garden a Cool Biome with some spooky & a bit depressing vibes to it, the Creaking & the New Material Ressin which can be used to make Ressin Blocks which their designs are Gold Requiem. 👌🏻
