I just wish we got more of Ekko and Jinx scenes. Apparently they had a whole 6 mins scenes cut between jinx and ekko. The Creator said that they had jinx and ekko reconciliation and ekko explaining everything to her. And then them preparing for battle and jinx marking ekkoo in the paint. It makes me believe that ekko knew that jinx lived.

It'd be cool if they released storyboards and however advanced animation got, I'll always appreciate the way that was initially handled for The Clone Wars. But any story is going to trim material for pacing and other factors, just the nature of taking a story from paper to the screen, and I expect that was their reasoning.

@@westrim my guess is budget. They were exceeding the 250 million limit already. I imagine that 6 mins or so put them over. There were apparently more they were gonna include with Mel as well, my guess is maybe her traveling back to piltover from where she came from which is probably the Noxus area. The scenes weren't animated yet just drawn and written. Would've been nice to see a lot of it though. I saw somewhere awhile ago that 3-5 mins of this type of animation is close to 1-2 million dollars.

I firmly believe the whole point of Arcane was to show that magic in the world of Runeterra is a sentient force. Capable of being both the antagonist *and* the protagonist behind the scenes. They wrapped up all they wanted with these past two seasons. While leaving just enough loose threads for future development and character building in future story lines.

Exactly my words that's what I have been thinking. She also says her goodbye to Vander almost the same way she did with Silco under the water. What's interesting that was her first appearence in S2 and her last appearence was the same way with Vander/Warwick

True, but minimal ways to recoup the costs so it has a very low return on investment. I think it's smart to treat Arcane as a loss leader because it introduced a LOT of people to a universe many didn't know existed (including myself), and they did it with perfection.

Also for the Noxus spinoff, these Crows with 3(6) red eyes flying at the end, are actually from another champion "Swain", who is the leader of one of the Noxian houses. He got his powers from a sort of Crow-Demon if i remeber correctly. So im super hyped for that.

If anything, you should be excited with the new characters and environment and how there art style can project the beauty of the places. Ionia with its mystique, demacia with its grandeur Noxus with its brutality. There's a lot to be excited about.

What's the screw up? The story came to a great ending, and more stories will be done with the same team on the same world, just in a different place. This is absolutely nothing like the Witcher series, it went just as they intended with consistent excellence.

The sly little smile Caitlyn does at the end also might be to a reference to LoL in general. If Jinx is on a team and is versus a Caitlyn or vi there’s a special side quest that pops up for how many times you capture jinx/ how many times you get away as jinx. I always thought that was really cool mechanic and I’m glad they made a whole 2 seasons about it.

Since Netflix was not really involved in the production but only paid for distribution rights, Netflix is not really be in a position to cancel the show. The show was only intended for two seasons, according to the creators.

If Jinx wasn't alive the last scene with Caitlynn, and the last scene with the blimp become irrelevant. Considering how much detail went into the entire production and how much use they made of ever single second of screen time I don't think this would be the case.

You hit the nail right on the head with calling out that Arcane may be longer than any animated movie of same qaulity but their mechanism for recouping the costs of this show is not the same as theaters. With that being said, i dont know what goes into transitioning a tv show into a movie series but they should do that instead. If they gave us a good 2 to 3 movies that build off one another. Id pay to watch that.

The series is essentially a marketing expense for the game. They're hoping to convert viewers to players and recoup the costs that way.

They also hinted in that same interview that Warwick (aka Vander) survived the bomb as well, as his regeneration skills are off the charts still. And that the story with him would more so be a follow-up of the games where he's not full-on wolf yet but is getting there.

Initial guess is that Riot will look at Noxus for the next show - since it plays into what was referenced in Arcane Season 2. You could probably have the Black Rose (led by LeBlanc), and how the order interacts with Swain (who was also teased during Arcane S2, particularly at the end with the triple eyed Raven at the end. The advantage of doing Noxus is that you can then springboard into Demacia (which traditionally skirmishes a bit with Noxus) OR Ionia (which Noxus invaded). Depending on the timeline you could do the Noxus invasion of Ionia which extends Singed's storyline, as well as setting up storylines with Swain, Riven, Yasuo, Yone, Master Yi, Karma, Irelia, Shen, Zed, etc. For your Demacia plotline, you could look into the mage / anti mage rebellion or civil war which LeBlanc also teased during Arcane Season 2 when she was speaking to Mel

Just have to hope that the rest of what netflix does with League of Legends material is as good as or better than Arcane. Netflix much like other Studios with a sqeaky little mouse in their ear, seem to be good at ignoring the source material and leaving fans unhappy with the product. That's a huge reason in my opinion as to why Arcane did so well, because it not only didnt have any source material that was considered as "Cannon" but it also delivered a show better than anyone could have expected to get, even from Netflix. Also i think i watch this guy a bit too often, because the entire time i was writing this comment, this guy's voice was reading it back to me in my head.

The animation rivals the Spider-Verse movies IMO and deserves to be supported as such = something Netflix is clearly unsuited to do outside of Stranger Things = reminds me of how the Marvel Defenders-verse shows were dropped 🤬 Maybe Ella has connections w/Amazon, via Fallout, that she can introduce the League of Legends Dudes to if Netflix is no longer an option🤔Speaking of Fallout, look at the IPs Amazon's nuturing* presently to be on Prime Video😏The Boys, Invincible, Rings of Power, Vox Machina...with each new season being better than the previous one🤩 Yeah, Riot makes their $ mainly thru games but have you seen all those names in the credits responsible for putting the story on screen 👀They deserve to not feel rushed/pressured to take short cuts when they produce the follow-up series in the works + the Fans (both loyal & new casual ones like me) won't tolerate being short-changed by said pressures knowing how beautiful the results can continue to be! Based on the track record of the series* I mentioned, Amazon seems to be a more capable partner *= I hope that's where new LoL stories will land 🙏🏽 Mel's story must be the next one told IMO Additional background on Noxus & why her Mom would manipulate a conflict so Thanos-like in order to have immortal warriors to defeat The Black Rose was a shortcoming that keeps Arcane from being perfect. Yeah, Ambessa mentions multiple times the pain from losing her Son as motivation but the artists/animators should be financed properly* to animate that instance vs. being forced to speed-run through that info via The Black Rose's apparition of Kino in an attempt to trick Mel! And how did Mel become so OP w/her new powers that both her Mom & (temporarily, I guess) The Black Rose succumbed to it?!? In a game-setting, that upgrade can be overlooked but in a narrative setting, that type of oversight emaciates viewership figures! [Didn't think my response would be THIS long LOL]

What im excited for. Ionia: mostly like the asian country side, and almost a stark contrast to piltover and zaun. More green and fluid lines, ninjas, and magic is openly seen and practiced. Demacia: im more interested at what time this happens, before or after the rebellion?

I personally wish they would have extended it to three seasons. I felt like some of it felt rushed. Really well-made, but not as deep as it could have been. And it also felt like they just wrote for everything to be too satisfying. I wished it had been a little more courageous about letting certain characters die. Still a great finale though.

What I would like to see is an massive, single-player (NO MMO) open-world RPG in the same world we see in Arcane. The stories and world we see in the show has so much depth, it could be developed into a seriously deep RPG with all the different races, and types of characters a player could design to make their very own champion, but not just some shooter game, with in depth quests, character development, companions, complex npcs, and much more. They seem to have the lore for it. It could be so much more than a battle arena game. Heck, throw in coop options, but, lawd if we could have a deep open-world single player RPG with modding support. gah. I would like that. For those that are so codependent they absolutely have to have online multiplayer, well, you already have that. Let a peep that hates online multiplayer dream of this world in single-player open world rpg, k?

IMO setting is much better fit for an MMO than SRPG. Arcane world is all about characters interacting with others. Nothing captures that feeling better than actual real humans behind characters. Besides many MMO's successfully present SPRG-like story on MMO setting, GW2, ESO, FFXIV

Some of us HATE online games, especially since they've been so corrupted by "games as service" mentality, loot boxes, and pay to win BS. Nah. Those of us, like me, that hate online crap, that have an appreciation for modding community, and single-player offline play, we'd like something in this world where we can design our own character, and interact with the world as we want to, following the game's story, or not, doing quests, or not, a bit like Cyberpunk, and Skyrim, but, more advanced because we have even better technology now, and could run a game like this in 4K @120fps.

Just finished watching S1 and S2 in two days, and I must say i don't want to say goodbye to the characters at all.. I enjoyed the series too much and didn't want to end at all.. Don't know what to do with my life now lmao.. So my question is, should I start re-watching it again? Is it too soon, should I wait a couple of weeks, than re-watching it.. i don't know

Most of these scenes would have already been cut way before the animation stage. I have read that about 5% of the scenes they animated did not make it into the final cut.

Jinx is most likely heading to Demacia. It will be a way to get her to interact with Lux who is one of the more prominent characters from that region. There's a subset of fans among the LoL fandom that ship her and Lux (Lightcannon) even though they haven't met yet in the current canon lore.

The money is in Ionia. If Riot actually want to capitilize in all fronts, you go to ionia next. The series was expensive, really expensive, but Netflix needed an Arcane, they were dying with boring series, and this animation, as a subscriber, hooked me on to the screen, like i haven't since breaking bad... They should give more money to Riot to develop it...

True Ionia has a lot of the "sex appeal" that sells as marketing for the game, so if any other region would make money, you'd think it would be that one. I'd like to see Demacia personally, myself.

I honestly don’t understand why they would rush such a Masterpiece, it actually is insane and depressing, we literally cannot have nice things. We should’ve had 3 seasons of this story, but we definitely need could’ve made this one work perfectly with just 3 more episodes, hell even just one more episode. Hell they STILL could throw out a SINGLE episode or MOVIE to really complete the Arcane series. It literally just needs a small amount of extra setup and payoff for certain plot lines and closing any such plot holes, etc. I think Season 2 is still near perfect, but honestly yes of course a little bit more time will close the whole thing off.

Warwick should be alive too. You can see a gold streak leaving to the left. Many people missed this, Warwick has 2 colored eyes, him being controlled by Viktor he has golden eyes, when he's about to move fast like Jinx he has the purple shimmer eyes, when Viktor gets defeated Warwick eyes went back to having 2 colors. In his lore he fully transforms after he dies and revives himself. In the stream with the Christian Linke he emphasis that they're not done with Warwick. He also said right now Warwick is between a man and a wolf when asked if they're planning on making him more wolf, like he is in game. They also talk about why the other characters did not make an appearance is because they would be the next generation.

Vander (Warwick) isn't dead as well, his Healing Factor is super broken Remember, he took a hit From three hextech Orbs Explosion and didnt die, and now he is even stronger than before One Grenade isn't enough to Take him + After the explosion, they found no bodies. Singed would be an easy sell for Ionia if they do a Noxus vs Ionia thing, but Demacia is definitely the one I'd most like to see. A lot of champs I like a lot are from there.
