Sammie was absolutely correct with what he said about men and women taking accountability and making good choices/decisions when deciding to bring life into the world.

Yeah I didn't see why there was backlash about what he said. Just proved his point that people are offended when it comes to accountability.
@patrick72282 жыл бұрын
Agree for the most part but I think much of the backlash is that communities of color and specifically black woman, are often the ones that get the majority of single mom-shaming. Agree however that being careful to not get pregnant accidentally shouldn't be controversial.

I'm glad to hear he wasn't on drugs nor got arrested growing up, and I agree with him about the single parent statement, if it takes 2 to make a baby, then it should take 2 to take accountability and be on birth control to prevent having a baby with someone who you don't see yourself having a future with. I’ve always taught my son that you never leave your reproductive rights in the hands of someone else. It take two to procreate. I’ve often heard or seen men reacting to someone getting pregnant by them with the,” I thought that you were taking care of that?” Like bro she didn’t get that way alone so if you weren’t what makes you think that she was?! I don’t want that to be my son , you take charge of when you have a child NEVER leave that to someone else!

Exactly! However, so many people are STILL blinded by trappings and spoils, and dangers, that come with having the backing of a major music label. Not only that but for years singers were encouraged ( or conditioned) to think that the major label route was the only way to get your art exposed in order to gather a following.

He should never have walked back what he said about single parents. The baby mother/baby father mentality with absolutely no plan of how this human will be nurtured, cared for, encouraged, and given the best chance for success, is one of the major things holding back the community with stressed out, angry, and resentful single mothers living a hand to mouth existence. Yes, divorce happens and sometimes spouses pass away unexpectedly, but we know that’s not what we’re talking about. #IsaidwhatIsaid 🤷🏾♂️

I completely agree with Sammie. As a woman who has been married 3 times and NEVER got pregnant because I was responsible enough to have control over my own life via birth control, I too do not condone this whole single parent issue within the black community. We have the sense and smarts to be responsible, i.e., not having kids with someone who you know is NOT going to be around or who is a serial baby mama/daddy. Also, my sistuhs, you don't have to have a baby by every man you date. There's no excuse. We all have control when it comes to having children and it's all about responsibility. Don't bring kids into chaos. Folks do make mistakes. But when the mistakes equate to a man or woman having multiple children with multiple women/men, that's when the line should be drawn. Yeah, it takes two to tango, but if it means my popping a birth control pill or some other form of birth control to ensure I don't have a child by the wrong person, then let it be done. Birth control is FREE!! Hell, teenage girls can not get birth control without a parent's consent. Plus, there's now the Morning After Pill that doesn't even require a prescription. There's no excuse, and this is coming from a woman who believes EVERYONE should be given the benefit of the doubt.

People dont like hearing the truth they rather hear something that feels good. I still have trouble with relationship even marriage. Life its self is fuck up anyway. But as long as you have a spiritual life and talk to god about life he will help you and pray alot. Having two parents thats not too much dysfunction will help you find a good Partner in life.
