I actually went to the 2020 Millenium tour right before quarantine. I gave Sammie an art piece and got to meet him and take a picture. He was in the front row after his set watching the show with the rest of us. He was very humble and kind. He posted all his fan art on his IG page which I thought was dope. I completely agree with Sammie. As a woman who has been married 3 times and NEVER got pregnant because I was responsible enough to have control over my own life via birth control, I too do not condone this whole single parent issue within the black community. We have the sense and smarts to be responsible, i.e., not having kids with someone who you know is NOT going to be around or who is a serial baby mama/daddy. Also, my sistuhs, you don't have to have a baby by every man you date. There's no excuse. We all have control when it comes to having children and it's all about responsibility. Don't bring kids into chaos. Folks do make mistakes. But when the mistakes equate to a man or woman having multiple children with multiple women/men, that's when the line should be drawn. Yeah, it takes two to tango, but if it means my popping a birth control pill or some other form of birth control to ensure I don't have a child by the wrong person, then let it be done. Birth control is FREE!! Hell, teenage girls can not get birth control without a parent's consent. Plus, there's now the Morning After Pill that doesn't even require a prescription. There's no excuse, and this is coming from a woman who believes EVERYONE should be given the benefit of the doubt.
