Following the first anniversary of Synestra's death, I (her mum) have decided to take over this You Tube channel to post updates about Synestra's Community Interest Company (CIC). This is a 'not for profit' company - funds raised will be used for the benefit of other young people with gender dysphoria, and this is the first video explaining more about my goals.

Thank you for doing this video. She will always be remembered and was one of the people I looked up to for a few years. There were a lot of unanswered questions we had as followers of hers and this helped some of us understand more what exactly happened.

This is a very touching and emotional video. Synestra was one of the first KZbinrs I ever followed, back during the years when she went by Sphirex and lived with Michael James. I remember the beautiful makeup she used to do, and actually I first learned how to put foundation on using a flat foundation brush by watching one of her videos. She still pops into my head from time to time when I'm applying my makeup, since I was only a makeup novice when I discovered her, so those nights staying up late watching her makeup artistry always have a special place in my heart. I am also very pale and I loved looking at what shades she found to match her. I was also very enthralled by how intelligent she was- she would pepper her conversation with these very profound insights about life, all while expertly applying her makeup and casually chatting away to her viewers. This was before I ever commented on people's videos, so looking back I feel sad that she never knew I was such a fan for so many years. I followed her on Facebook and saw how happy she was as she moved towards Synestra. It was such a shock when I learned last year that she was no longer with us. Sorry this has turned into such a rambling comment but, like I say, I feel sad to never have taken the chance to tell her how much I loved her channel, so hopefully I can tell her mother by writing it here instead.

I miss you Syn. I never knew you anywhere as close as I would have liked to have known you, but I truly do credit you with saving my life that day in London. Thank you for coming in to my life (albeit briefly) and showing such compassion to a down and out like me. I will never forget you. R.I.P beautiful angel

I'm about to run a half marathon on 12 March 2017 on behalf of Synestra's Community Interest Company. Please help me to raise money for this great cause by donating directly to my fund raising page - uk.virginmoneygiving.com/AmandaDecourcy or directly to my Special Person at uk.virginmoneygiving.com/SomeoneSpecial/SynestraDecourcy. Synestra was really special and I want her memory to live on. You will find the link on my FB page 'Mandy De Courcy'.

Imagine having parents like this, wonderful, accepting and so caring. I'm just so sad Synestra despite her parents couldn't find the happiness she sought in this life and I hope she's at peace and arrived at where she needed to be 💔💜

What a huge huge loss to the world. She has helped me find my own strength to be true to my self time and again, and continues to, as she does for thousands of silent voices out there. She was such an intelligent-and articulate person, I hope she can continue to inspire and give strength to many more people for many many years to come-please preserve all of her videos. Amanda your strength is awesome.(in the real meaning not the usa kind) brilliant to hear of the project you have started. X X

I’m so heart broken.... today as I was getting ready for work I randomly had a thought about Sphriex, and thought huh, I haven’t seen anything from her in a long time I wonder what she’s up to... I go to her fb page to see she has passed... I was so sad. I had no idea. I had been folllowing her for years and was always keeping up with her transition... I can’t believe it took me this long to figure out what happened and I’m so heart broken. I hope you’re in a better place Synestra, you were so beautiful and intelligent... you deserved the world and I’m so sorry this happened to you

I am not transgender but like Synestra I got involved in drugs and high end escorting. That world's so damaging, I ended up nearly dead because I suddenly could afford lots more H and C. I was conned out of money in a hotel one night and I felt awful, dirty and used. I just went home. I quit because I had a breakdown. It's so sad Synestra died, it could have been me too, I'm not totally clean so it's a worry

If she doesn't already know, Please get Luxeria in on this! She is a close friend of Synestra, and I couldn't imagine her not wanting to help in some way. Perhaps then, she might let the rest of the old Androgenetics crew know what's going on and coordinate from there.

I am really sorry for what had happened to Synestra. In all honestly, I didn't know who she was until I started watching a few videos of her friend Luxeria on KZbin, followed Luxeria on Instagram. I was watching a recent video of Luxeria when she went to get a facial feminisation surgery, that is when I heard Luxeria saying she wished that her mother and Snyestra was with her on this journey of hers. I am sorry to ask. What year did Synestra passed away. Once again, I am really sorry for Synestra's passing. Thank you for sharing this video for all of her followers and viewers as well as spreading awareness on this topic.

One thing I have to say though, that I seen you have a book out about your child. I've seen you've been interview about it. You go on to say in the interview, that you blame the NHS for not treating your child sooner. That's the reason why your child got into porn and drugs, just to pay for surgeries. I'm sorry but your a well off family that sent their child to a £30k boarding school! Your child was doing drugs and porn long before sex change plans. Even had a manager to keep your child in check. Joseph Harwood mentions this on his channel. Poor kids don't have that. They have to wait like everyone else. Don't blame the NHS for your child's mistakes.

the parents blame the NHS for not letting the taxpayer pay for this when they are very wealthy and could afford to pay for it real easy, they could afford to pay for her private boarding school so why not this, anybody might think they are to blame, were they blind to her very heavy drug use, i don't think so.

Yes, you can pay for surgery, wich obviously the mom said she paid for surgery that helped her. But they cannot just pay for hormones. You need a prescription. And a doctor has to willing to give that to you. Without prescription, as the mom laid out, you don't have access to the regulated substances in your country. And you end up ordering stuff from sketchy places online with no proof that it is what yhey claim it is and that it is pure and safe.
