Saying Belgium easily destroyed Brazil in 2018 is just disingenuous, they had an awful first half hour but after that the game was fully in Brazil’s control and the tie didn’t come purely out of bad luck. That team is so underrated, had great players in a great phase and had very good cohesion, the coach’s reluctance in making changes was their biggest downside, but even still I’d easily put them in the top 3 teams at that tournament, you could say Belgium and France were better, but by a very slim margin

brazil is in downfall due to a lot of corruption, bad trainers and really suspicius convocations of players that clearly dont have the skill to be there, also brazil without neymar suffer to win against small teams like venezuela, peru, chile, paraguai and more, and there is some player that for their clubs play decently but when go to the national team just play badly like vinicius and bruno guimaraes.

Corruption and bad managers might be the main causes for Brazil national team downfall. Players are also uninterested in playing for the national team, you can clearly see their lack of effort while playing for Brazil. But the main reason for that is that Brazil doesn’t have a good manager that can do his job as good as other managers have done in the past. The national team from 2006 to 2010 tried their maximum during the WC. The national team of 2014 was super dependent on Neymar, and the national team from 2018 and 2022 where honestly the best since 2006 (in terms of individual players). The problem comes with the manager not being capable of giving a good reason for the players to give their best while on the pitch, and that didn’t happen with the players before 2014. In 2002 Brazil seleção was good if you only see the players, but it was going through something similar that we are going through right now. The difference was literally Ronaldo, who was coming back from an horrible injury, and was trying to prove everyone wrong and show to the world that he didn’t have lost his skills, and Felipão was capable of back that up and make the other players believe that they were capable of winning the WC. In 2018 was pretty similar to that, Neymar was coming back from an injury and he had the hunger to show to the world that we was still the same player before the injury. But then Brazil was unlucky and they lost to Belgium as you said in the video, but the game wasn’t as bad as you said it was. Neymar was carrying that team on his back, but then on the second half of the game, all the players started giving their maximum, but unfortunately Brazil wasn’t able to score, due to an incredible game by Courtois who saved a lot of difficult shots made by Neymar, Augusto and other players. Dorival doesn’t have the balls to put that team together and make them play like a team. Players are uninterested in playing for Brazil and also corruption, which makes solving this much more difficult. I’m pretty sure that if Brazil find a manager who can manage all the stars that Brazil have right now, and make them play as a proper National Team, we will come back to our glory days.

Brazil lacks playmakers - and that's the reason why Vini and Rodrygo don't deliver what they do in Real Madrid. Our midfield is a barren land of bureaucratic side passes. If that were the only problem it would already be reason for concern, but we also lack top class full backs and center forwards. All we have are goalies (with the best ones arguably in decline), central defenders, a few all right defensive midfielders and wingers. That's it.
