Curse 2 - the bite is worth a watch a very strange but interesting concept surrounding a snake bite. Catacombs isn't too bad either

The Nic Cage "Color Out of Space" is really good. Some major body horror-nightmare fuel, but if you're into that shit (like I am!), you'll like it.

I remember seeing this in the theater opening weekend when I was 13 years old with my older sister. I dragged her to a lot of crappy films back then.

Multiplex or local theater?
@TheNameisPlissken198116 күн бұрын
@Kurtsg10 it was not a mom and pop one screen theater. It was either in the Rockaway Mall or the Morris County Mall. Both in Northern NJ. The film didn't have a big release. In all of Morris County, I think it was in only one theater and we had atleast 10 or so at that time.

The Curse...I had that on VHS and watched it a lot when I was younger. Havnt watched it in years. Never wanted to delve into the sequels... but, Die Monster Die is one of my favorite Karloff flicks, love that flick.

I grew up in Knoxville, TN and remember David Keith very well. He was a big deal since he had made it in Hollywood and would come back for all the UT football ball games. I remember them shooting this movie and the articles in the local paper.

Good Movie!
@Mr_Flerb19 күн бұрын
Putting aside the abuse he endured, I’m not sure it’s realistic to blame Wheaton’s career trajectory on this film alone. He’s bitter, perhaps understandably, but “I was tied with River Phoenix until this movie” is a little self-serving. As he grew up it became increasingly clear that he just wasn’t a particularly appealing actor. His petulant, adenoidal delivery presumably factored heavily into his lack of work. As for “salvaging the situation” with Trek… I don’t know how old you are, but Wesley Crusher was the most hated character on television from the day he appeared to the day he exited, for exactly the reasons mentioned above. For his sake, I’m glad he had a career renaissance of sorts, despite his being kind of a dreadful person, but I’m not sure The Curse killed his dramatic career by itself.
