I find it interesting how Guby only "disappears" when the kid interrupts him with the circle and pig ones he didn't ask a question when the kid spoke, followed by him disappearing and the "Only speak when spoken to" and "listen to what I tell you, pig" codes pop up the only time Guby didn't disappear was when the kid was answering his question "do you like animals?" he just doesn't like being interrupted when he's talking edit- just fixed some typing errors

The "Brainstorm/Green needle" moment fascinates me to no end! I can NOT hear Brainstorm AT ALL! The most i can hear is Brain needle if I focus on the word really hard and seeing Lee not only hearing only one but the one I CANNOT hear makes my brain tickle in the most curious ways!

The pig thing gets even creepier when you remember/know that pigs'll eat ANYTHING. like, you can get rid of a human body by feeding it to pigs. Allegedly. They'll have trouble with the larger bones in the legs, but they'll eat it. Allegedly. It was a major fear with the pig farm killer (NOT a fun read, look up on own discretion) back in the day, whether or not he fed his victims to his pigs, and whether or not those were the pigs he slaughtered and sold the meat.

The teeth could be used to represent the consumption of creativity, or creativity itself, in the unlisted video the text mentions that larger pigs have less teeth, this could represent larger entities (corporations and stuff) having little to no creativity, the smaller pigs could represent smaller entities in media, like individual creators and such, who have more creativity to show ( or have more teeth to grow). Güby might be an entity that feasts on these smaller entities “teeth” (taking kids, who are known for having wild imaginations and are full of creativity) to sort of fill some sort of emptiness that wasn’t there before :D

the part talking about the auditourial illusions (19:24) is usually called the power of suggestion where as the person interoperates a certain sound from audio that is hard to make out clearly. this can come from any range of sounds like music to distorted sounds in analog horror videos. hope this helps out mat.

"Brain" to "Green" is mostly due to the muffling. The hiss of the "s" in Brainstorm is sometimes heard as another "e" vowel, and people attach it to the previous "n". Then the muffling again is attributed to the change from "Storm" to "dle". So, the reason it changes from two syllables to three is because the hiss of the "s" is seen as its own syllable, which then influences the rest.

To answer Lee’s question about what part of the sound is Brainstorm or Green Needle: the deeper sound is brain storm, but the higher frequency is green needle and it’s easier for me to hear green needle if I watch the lights bc they flash to the syllables of green needle instead of brainstorm.

22:51 The "Brainstorm" is on a slightly lower frequency than the "Green needle" like the Brainstorm is more akin to a hum while green needle is a higher pitched *boom bam boom* sound effect. It intertwines because the middle *bam* sound effect is what makes the "S" in Brainstorm. listen for more than one S if you don't hear green needle and ignore the S/*boom bam boom* sfx if you don't hear Brainstorm. At least that is how I hear it. Would be interested to hear how other people make the distinction without looking.

I'm not sure if it was said or not before, but maybe MatPat hears both because of the lights glowing when there could be another syllable. *Green *Nee*dle. * beeing the glow. I'm saying that, be cause he says in this video, that when he doesn't look, he hears "brainstorm" but when he looks at the video, it's green needle. Re: green needle/brainstorm From what I can hear, Green Needle sounds higher-pitched than Brainstorm. So my theory is that if you calibrate the sound in your output to have more bass (or your brain tries to follow the lower tones first) you would more consistently hear Brainstorm, and calibrating for the higher pitches you would hear Green Needle more consistently. The beginning sound effect and the rhythm of the blinking light from the toy affects what your brain processes first - if you focused on the higher pitches of the SFX, you hear green needle. If you focused on the lower pitches, you hear brainstorm.

Your comment about tubular nature the human body reminded me that in High School when I took Anatomy and Physiology in the digestive system unit, another student was confused on how the digestive system was outside the body and I blurted out that the human body basically like those "slippery water wrigglers" from the rain forest cafe. My observation horrified that rest of the class but my teacher thought it was a good comparison.

Don't worry, Lee, I can only hear Brainstorm too. I can almost hear the Green in it but needle is lost on me. But uh...the spinning dancer actually does spin both directions and switches on its own - it just differs which direction you see first. But I can see the frames where it switches.

Simple way to get people to hear brainstorm or green needle, say it to them exactly how the toy pronounces it (perhaps even in sync with the audio) so they can understand where the emphasis is on the syllables and know what to listen for.
