What happened to Tom of “Mountain Men”?

I watched until the end. Tom is my hero. At 74 I still backpack in the Sierras with my friends who are similar in age. It has been 41 years in a row with 49 years of backpacking. Keep going Tom and so will I.

In my 70's I totally was amazed at how old Tom kept going! I enjoyed him, his buddies and his Mrs. on the episodes. May they enjoy their days in FL or wherever they choose to live! Thanks for the look at how a real Mountain Man lives!

Tom has always been one of my favorites on the show. Their house out in the wilderness looks like a dream and no armature built it. He has his workshop and all of nature surrounding him. It would be difficult to trade that for over crowed Florida!

I'm Ex Military, Ex cowboy & PD.. I absolutely love this show. Tom was a great cowboy. I roped but Bulls were a total unnecessary danger to me.. I got hurt enough. I hope he and Nancy are enjoying the sun and having a great time. God Bless them.. :)

Had the good fortune to be able to meet Tom and his wife at two different trappers conventions. Enjoyed the visit both times. Also got to meet Marty at another rondy once. They are both the real deal, not many of whom are left. We are all a dying breed!

When I saw Tom open up beaver traps with his bad legs and all and a young man couldn't I knew he was special. My wife and I both prayed for Tom and his wife when their property was threatened by fire. We also live in Florida and God willing someday I hope we get a chance to meet both of them.

Loved Tom and the show, Mountain Men. Saddened it is no longer being shown. Tom learned so many crafts, so many skills, and so much wisdom! I certainly hope that he can teach others, even a portion of his knowledge, otherwise all is lost. He was definitely one of a kind... Eustace was also a favorite, with so many old ways and skills. The show has been a blessing to watch!

Tom is one of my favorites on the show. Next is Eustace.I have learned so much from those 2 men. I hope that they never take Mountain Men off tv. Bcause I watch it all the time and even got my Mom watching it now. She is 76 years old and never misses it. More people should be learning this stuff cause I believe that one day technology is going to stop. We may use up all the Natural Gas and things. Then we better know how to live off the land.Its gonna pay to watch these guys. I'd rather live off the Land where God and Mother Nature helps me than to live off of the Government.

Very deceptive title, you intimated that you had knowledge of something happening to Tom. All you did was recap his segments of the show, and not very well at that. Tom is probably the most loved character on the show. I don't think repeating the rumors that every fan of the show has heard every year for the last few years and passing it off as knowledge is ethical. They don't display how many dislikes a video gets anymore, but you got one from me. If you get any real knowledge of his, or the shows future, let us know. I'm talking about real knowledge, not rumors.

I absolutely LOVE Tom and he is the main character that got me hooked on Mountain Men. He is so wise on so many levels of living and surviving in the wild. Eustace and Marty are also old favorites. I know as time marches on some of the characters are fazed out for various reasons and replace with new ones. One of the new people we absolutely do not like is this guy chasing bobcats with his dogs. He doesn't fit the show because all he does is chase a cat up the and then go home. Since when do you protect livestock with this method? One the cat figures out a food source of course they will return to kill again. Living on a farm, we either shot the predator or shot "at" them to really scare them not to return. This guy is a joke. He re chases the same cats over and over again ensuring he is paid over and over again by the same poor farmers.

Tom is brilliant to me. His bride such a calm helpmeet! Her talent was awesome too! Tom was the lead in the show to me. Alway kind, always such sweet smiles with his blue eyes. I met Tom his wife his brother in Bridgeport Connecticut believe it or not I heard Tom died I hope that's not true I wish I could meet him again or talk to him probably don't remember me but he told me he was going off grid if I wanted to come with him I said he's crazy I think his son even came in the bar I remember Nancy saying are you ever going to leave here God bless you Tom and Nancy PS I never thought his brother Jack was his brother there are people that remembered a man coming in the bar with a hawk he'll never believe me it was you guys God bless you Steve courtright
