If a team has the right to cut a player, why shouldn't a player have the right to cut the team?
@Saintaholik6 жыл бұрын
Hey man, that's actually a very interesting way to think about it. An NFL franchise is the exact same as any other company. It's "What can you do for me" So when you put your health over that phrase then they are going to selfishly react to it
@MrJandi16 жыл бұрын
@@Saintaholik Just looking at it from the perspective of an independent contractor because that's exactly what they are. It's not so much as " what have you done for me" but more of failure to perform up to the contract agreement. As we've seen this weekend, kickers got cut due to poor performance (missed kicks). In this case, if the player feels that same contract or expectations of performance isn't being met, then he should be able to cancel the contract agreement too.
@mykull6666 жыл бұрын
Yeah, nobody says a damn thing about a player who gets benched at halftime, gets cut on Monday morning, and never plays another game. The coach knew the minute he benched a player that he would cut him the next day but doesn't say a word about it.

Buffalo isn't necessarily a bad team, it's just that they make bad choices for trades and for their plays, and they get cocky when they're leading during the second half. I was born in Buffalo, so of course I'm a fan, but even I admit that they need to get their heads out of their asses and start making better decisions. Tyrod Taylor wasn't a bad quarterback, he just succumbed to the pressure last season in the playoffs, so they let him go. Sammy Watkins was one of their greatest WRs of this era and they traded him to the Rams, same with Darby and Robert Woods. Hell, on Madden 18 I played franchise mode on the hardest possible setting, and got them two Superbowls and then they trade me 😂😂. Buffalo needs to focus on the team as a whole and not focus on new bloods to try to make an impact on the team

Yeah it is just a bit frustrating but nothing against FlemLo the national perspective will always be lacking compared to the local one. In hindsight starting Peterman was obviously the wrong decision, both last year and this year, but when others question the competency of how the organization is run based off that one decision it can be annoying when those questioning it don't know or bother to know the full story.

I could do this for countless other videos you have done, but here (and Manti T'eo) you really let the full story behind the player (at least what's known publically) tackle the oversimplified description, i.e. "Dude quit on his team at HALFTIME, man." You really do a good job of presenting full stories of these players. 👍

Yea, but that's typical for an Andy Reid led team. Start out fast, and dwindle out. Just look at Alex Smith and the Cheifs last year. Not saying hes not good, just saying the system he is in, is one of the best

What's actually crazy is, When Vontae retired at halftime, (through a game and a half) the Bills looked like one of the top 10 worst defenses in the league (Going into the 2nd half of the game)....Through that 2nd half and ever since then, they have been number 1 in Total defense (since that time I'm saying....and 2nd for the whole season right now). BTW 2nd in Total Defense by a healthy margin, They give up 294 YPG), and the 3rd place Defense (Chicago) Gives up 318 YPG. Pretty incredible. They also are 1st in Passing yards against, only giving up an average of 187 passing yards per game (which is incredible in this era). They lead that by a healthy margin as well. I guess we just needed Vontae to retire...LOL

You're absolutely right. What he did, while shocking, was the right thing to do for both Davis and for the team. It takes a big heart to stand up and say "I am no longer able to do this thing I love, and rather than let my team down, I am walking away.

I support this decision. If you can't play the way you're expecting yourself to play, you need to know when to call it quits. The Bills had someone to fill in for him. You risk injury if you're not playing at 100% in any sport, so why put yourself, your family, and your future at risk.

A "queue" is a line of people waiting for something. "Cue," on the other hand means to turn something on or to start doing something, i.e.: "cue the music" means turn on the music. You're welcome for the English lesson my dudes. No need to thank me, I know I'm doing God's work and just knowing that is enough for me.

@slayermill86215 жыл бұрын
I get Vontae feeling disrespected when the team didn't have him travel with them, but he needs to realize he's hurt, he needs to grab some bench. RG3 was hurt but coaches let him decide he could still play despite it being clearly obvious he was in no condition to continue. Look how his career turned out. Sometimes the coaches have to save the players from themselves.

I’m sorry I can’t change stances not even after this video...what he did what disrespectful to his teammates, not just because he wasn’t “in it” anymore, but because dude was already benched after he got burnt by Mike Williams for that first score, he coulda just came out, stood on the sideline and went in office Monday and talked to his coach and said “sorry coach I’m just not in it anymore. Physically or mentally”
@Zmad7245 жыл бұрын
Exactly, this whole courage this is just ridiculous. LOL he "knew he was done". Yes, he had to leave immediately. It would have been too tough to stand on the sidelines with your teammates and wait to retire after the game. Seriously, how anyone can defend him for this, is just ridiculous. The Bills have been way better on defense since he left (2nd in Total Defense right now, by a good 20 yards a game to the team in 3rd) so good riddance...
