The sad part about all this is that: If people who seriously want diversity stopped hyperfocusing on "fixing" the art of others and focused on creating their own content, it would create more actual diversity then that of the "fixed" art. I totally get wanting representation, but there's a way to do it that feels organic and not shoehorned in by basically taking someone's art without permission and redrawing it in a disrespectful way overall. It's sad, honestly. Because these people that do actually do it not as trolls, but as actual representation are wasting their artistic potential and skills on something as petty as "fixing" art. I'd rather follow 20 artists that make their own original diverse content than a single person that "fixes" art. Diversity isn't a checkbox that can be filled instantly, and is something has to come naturally, otherwise it can end up stereotypical and can actually harm the minority groups that the art fixers are trying to help promote. People aren't checkboxes to be pandered to. People have feelings, and what art "fixers" provide are but a hollo shell of what the beauty of true diversity is.

What's funny is these newer trolls (like Rose) are actually bringing to light the issue with "fixing art" in general. People are only mad when the characters that are "fixed" end up being what they deem "ugly". Now obviously these trolls should have found a healthier and kinder way to educate people on why "fixing art" is wrong, but I can see their points through their own racism and awfulness. Fixing art as a whole should stop, period. Make your own characters, y'all!
@cream476 Жыл бұрын
The problem isn't about if they're "ugly" or not. It's about how they present it. By saying they're "fixing" it they're implying that there's something wrong with the original version. Things like redesigns of characters as fanart don't bother people as much because it generally comes from a place of actually liking the character and just wanting to see what they'd look like in a different context

You can think of troll artifix accounts as types of bullies. Bullies don't care if they're the only ones laughing, because it's the reaction they get from others that gives them a natural high off their own hormones, such as Serotonin & Dopamine. Bullies become addicted to this quick easy high & repeat the behaviors that illicit the responses they need for these hormonal releases. But like with drugs & caffeine, the body builds up an immunity over time & they need to do more to get that high feeling, so they will either double down on what they're doing & go more aggressively, or they will get bored & find a new group of people to victimize.

The yasuha one (0:39) personally made me mad, but in general people should be able to make art that they like and they enjoy drawing not having to fear that someone is gonna "fix" it because they dont like it. The art community has gainded a lot of trolls and toxic people over the years, but people still make art hoping people will like it and not bully them or change they're art.

If you think about it, it's not that far off from NSFW art. Thirstpost artists are basically saying the original design of the character isn't sexy enough & should be drawn more fetishistically, & ignore creators who say they don't like that kind of fanart.
@Рей-ц3ч Жыл бұрын
If you think about it this way, then any artist with deviantart just "fixes" characters lol 🤔
@nomoretwitterhandles Жыл бұрын
Yeah if I jump through a bajilion mental hurdles. What the fuck are you smoking lmao People draw NSFW, not because a character "isn't sexy enough", but because people are horny and they think "hey wouldn't it be kinda hot to see this character doing x or y" In your own logic and your own words, ALL fan art is "fixing" characters. Even if someone redraws an anime screenshot in their style just to compare? Wuh Woh, that's art fixing! Guess it wasn't stylistic enough! People do not draw NSFW to fix characters the same way people don't cosplay or draw fan art to fix characters. They do it because they think it would be cool. Art fixers only "fix" art because it suits their agenda. NOT the same.

Hmm... what if someone creates a fix art account but they fix the "fixed" art back to it's original art and credit the artist, would be pretty funny to troll the trolls back.
@joshjess9841 Жыл бұрын
I personally think it'd be really funny if a new artist showed up, took each and every recorded "fixed" character art, and drew them getting hilariously messed up by the original character that the "fixes" spawned from like unholy sludge they are. Man, even artists like JG Quintel or, hell, even the artistic creator of the game Pizza Tour, "Tour de Pizza", can create more likeable and visually appealing character designs than what those like Rose and Zee can do. They're just doing this completely out of spite and to cause discord in the art community for no other reason than the lolz.

In other words, its a shame how hate has a better time uniteing people together than friendship and love does. All this started with people drawing fictional characters the way they wanted to draw them and people like Zee, just didn't want to live and let live while also blocking the people who posting something they didn't want to see. Don't take this negatively but I did want to point out that it's "phase", like a moon phase (a cycle or a brief time period). "Faze" is used like "I wasn't fazed by that jumpscare" and etc. Just fun facts :D I grew up drawing Warriors cats too lmao. I went from drawing Warriors cats at 11 to drawing anime characters at 12... somehow I never became a furry. I'm a lot better at drawing animals and people now, but I kinda wish I stuck with the cats! They brought me a lot of joy and creativity. You should never be worried to draw people; after all, if you don't post it, nobody can fix it, yeah? Just draw and practice if that's what makes you happy. Or if you prefer drawing cats, you keep drawing those damn cats. Over 10 years ago I was drawing Warriors ocs and now I'm a professional artist for a living. Follow your dreams! Do your hobbies!

this video is...messy, imo. the message is correct in that "fixing" art even in a joking sense is just incorrect and can be harmfull 2 artists, but this video both acknowledges the fact that this person is trolling and still treats what they are doing seriously. its not /good/ trolling by any means, its annoying and obnoxious, but what rosefixesart is doing is not a genuine attempt to fix art. its satire / parody, and conflating that with actual tiktok teens attempts to fix others art is misguided and incorrect. regardless, good video and amazing art!

I don't get how making literally the only white main character of glitch techs black was fixing it. Both of the things that Rose apparently stands for are in the show. One, race inclusivity, there are a bunch of characters in glitch techs that are black. For example, Five, Mitch, Most if not all of Mitch's crew, background characters. I'm pretty sure there are a few characters that are different races too. Plus sized characters, there are a few plus sized characters, like the manager and a guy from Mitch's crew. So black washing the main character doesn't need to be done. Five is also a main character and I'm pretty sure he's not black but Hispanic (evidence given by a lot of scenes where Five randomly speaks in Spanish) I don't see why she's fixing Miko because Miko is actually apparently a Japanese-American.
