What Happened When I Called Someone A Liar In Federal Prison?

The last few weeks of federal prison were strange. While I was excited for my release, I was also concerned and anxious about what life would be like after my release. For that reason, anything, both big and small, seem to annoy or bother me.
In federal prison, I’d like to keep to myself. If you asked someone to describe me, they would say I kept to myself, didn’t complain, got my tasks done, and was generally focused. I was not easily distracted.
Yet, several weeks before my release, a new prisoner said some things that upset me. I described them in this video. There is no doubt my response surprised some people, including me.

The man was just passing time telling stories that hurt no one other than maybe make him look like he was full of baloney. However, many years ago a co-worker would brag of these ridiculous stories and it drove my work friend batty. I told my work friend in some cultures storytelling is entertainment and maybe telling stories was his way of relating to his world. I think you over reacted and should have ignored your fellow inmate’s stories and went about your days.

I know this isn't at all on point, but something in the news gave me these random thoughts. Judges are always happy when witnesses perjury themselves in the judge's courtroom. Judges are also always impressed when suspects repeatedly violate the judge's bail conditions. Judges, like everyone else, are really impressed when criminals can be shown to have led their coconspirators down the criminal path.

I didn't know Scam Bankman Fraud had been sent to Federal Proson yet. I thought he was still in County. However, you kind of lost me "do we not lie every day?" Since my early 20s I have devoted myself to being honest. Im in my 60s. I lied a lit as a teenager. Now my biggest regret is the promiscuity of my teen years. Sexual fantasies are a form of lies.
