I was like, "WTF" when I hit play the first time. It sounds unmixed on KZbin. I played it on Apple music and it's great. The approach reminds me of some of the songs on "Alive or just breathing" that just jump in without a build up.

Absolutely love it, it has alive or just breathing written all over it. I think it is intentionally less sterile and "perfect" sounding perfect isn't always good just look at all these bands anymore they're all sound the same... they're boring and sterile asf.

sounds totally fine for me. prolly just youtube. sounds great now on here, on spotify, and played through my phone via samsung earbuds, although i will say of the 3, youtube is the worst.

This totally just made me listen to my own upcoming new album afraid of the mixing being the factor of losing people's interest. The talent & songwriting shouldn't ever be shunned because the mix is bad, so that's a nightmare scenario. But I agree. The drums are for sure too loud in this song. But if they lowered them, the vocals would then be too loud because they're currently competing with the drums. The guitars are probably Killswitch's specialty, so they shouldn't be buried like they are.

I like the chorus quite a bit but the lyrics and the mix aren't great, it seems like they're having fun so I'm here for it, I bet this song is a lot better live!

Sounds overcompressed... like, noticably so. I can barepy hear the guitar runs at all, and the riffs are basically just punctuation.

the song is good, but it sounds like bohemian rhapsody, as if they don't know what I want to say. A mix of all tastes. I have mixed feelings. we'll see how the whole album will be

The chorus is the best part of the song. I agree with you they are better than this. I saw them live about a decade or so ago, they were fantastic . I was excited to see new music from them, I hate that I’m disappointed.

Respectfully disagree with you. I loved much of the stuff with Howard but found that As Daylight Dies was mostly good and the final album with him was mostly not good for me. I think since Jesse came back it’s been great with the exception of some songs on Atonement.

Tanked wut disarm the descent was probably the best they'd done since aojb Jesse has always been a big part of the KSE sound howard was good but not why original fans liked KSE.

@zedddddful fyi. I was an 'original fan" and saw them twice with Jessie originally and about 5 times with Howard. I said going back to Jessie was a set backwards musically as their songs and albums have regressed. You can disagree, that's fine.

@@ItsSafehands Killswitch has 2 sounds and people either like both or one or the other. They play lower and slower with Howard to compliment his range. They play faster and more bright with Jesse to compliment his. Disarm the descent sounds like the follow up to alive or just breathing. Atonement is Jesse trying his hand at Howards range as the tone of the album sounds more like daylight does or end of heartache.
