I was laughing so wholly. This embodying of the paradox of what I've called Surrender + co-creation (Angelo calls it intention) just showed up one day. This sudden knowing. And his explanation of surrender as life surrendering you is so apt. "You" are doing nothing. It is being done through you. And my experience has been that suffering only occurs when you make up stories about what's happening. What an experience. What a ride :)

Zdogg is the best on these videos, such a legend, i crack up at his reactions to some of mind twisty pointings. But he's so tuned in at the same time, you can see him resonating to the pointings! Angelo is a real gem, Ive been around these teachings for years and I've not experienced as strong a transmission as he is able to deliver. He's helping us see with his efforts to share. Thank you, thank you, thank you🙏

I feel like I am having awakening hangover and I don't know who to talk to except posting it here (because my friends and husband will just admit me if they heard this). I read Angelo's book and when I got to the chapter of after awakening blah blah blah you go through this opposing purging where everything turns itself inside out, I thought - no not me I feel blissful why would I ever go back to being small minded. Well I'm going through that right now and it feels like a hurricane, earthquake, volcanic explosion all at once of mind panic. I spent weeks in this blissful presence-watching and now everything is flooding back in: my self identification, reputation, finances, state of the world, relationship blaming, othering. All I can do now to sit here and listen to it. Pretty f'in positive I'll regret posting this too tomorrow when I get hate emails and cancelled for not posting a kumbaya message. But I guess what I'm saying is, this is real shit. This guy knows his stuff and has lived through it. He's not messing around with the warnings and I am shocked to see them happening with me. WTF is all I have to end with.

Painful but normal progression you describe. An excellent teacher-Helen Hamilton- often states about this turbulent phase that after awakening, everything repressed comes up to be seen and loved because the Self does not reject any experience, memory, emotion, etc. Also it’s like we were holding a plastic ball under water so there can be a big release of freed up energy as well. All this I’m going through but the peaceful phases r getting longer 🌞

For me, the awakening was an intense ecstatic experience. Fluid-like white "world" of Unconditional Love simultaneously existing with the earthly plane. My deepest fear instantaneously became instead the greatest strength of being a channel of Unconditional Love. The aftermath was the exploration of a very "different" soul as reborn into an existing 59 year old guy. I had to figure out how do everything from scratch. The way my new "self" needs to be. Ongoing still.

I call this the glass ceiling of logic… I cannot go beyond it having realized I am it, and yet if I place a gentle, yet firm hand of attention upon it, it reveals more of itself(myself) while at the same time reminding me that I am simultaneously it and within it.

I was reminded of this when Angelo talked about your garage: Very often when I become present with whatever I’m doing, whether I’m doing something mundane like washing dishes, or I’m in pain or struggling with something, I say to myself “This moment is the ultimate fulfillment of all existence - the ultimate experience of peace, love, joy, and freedom” -- instead of the usual subliminal orientation of “this is just something I have to get through so I can have another experience”, which will also be insufficient. Like when you eat a whole bag of cookies and weren’t present enough to really experience it, enjoy it, or even remember it! But I can always feel some inner resistance - so this is like a koan for me - “How can this be IT?” But then there are these brief glimpses - Wow!

About the garage. I always find in places like that, when I was a child, a parking garage or larger structure I didn't visit every day became a place of wonder and mystery and I wanted to peek in corners and see over the guard rail and play on the sidewalks. It was part of a larger and integrated experience flowing into and connecting to my part of the whole thing. As I got older my mind learned to skip segments of reality to "get to what's important". Like on a long familiar commute, I'd barely notice any of the trees or buildings or people. Not just not notice but it would almost not happen at all! Gone! Poof! And as said in the interview, that condition of being tuned out would erase the rest of the evening as well. Trying to ride that weird awareness bicycle now, where the drive home from work has a connectedness, a wonder to it, a wholeness. Some days it's wow, all this is here? Dang! Before, what's real had been compressed and archived instead of lived. With a small perspective shift, it's all there to be experienced.

Nearly everything fear! Fear! Fear! I was the a problem. Trapped living in my head, not fitting in poor me I'm a victim. I've gone through & done everything each video has talked about and further still. I had no idea that this is the thing. I was unable to follow always distracted. Now that I'm aware and awake I hold everything with a open hand, what is to stay will stay, & the garbage that falls is not needed I tried to clench fist everything in my life, that was taking me to my own doom. All the concepts & ideas of this, that is being conviad I understand them all and can follow easily. Here comes the cliche, If i can do & go through this anyone can. It's so obvious. It's like I didn't know I was awake. I feel like I've been here forever. It's indescribable. It's frustrating because I've been waiting for bells and whistles and angels descending. But I can't say when it happened. Like everything is perfectly fine even when it doesn't seem to be. Going to stay here until suffering is a thing of the past and liberation is present. Even though there really is no staying because there is no way to be apart. Even illusion has never been real. It's obvious that it is neither real nor unreal. I couldn't understand that before but now it's perfectly obvious. And there's nothing special about it. Unbelievably strange. But totally normal. How wonderful.

Draft about devotion: Focus is an unwavering attention, not to something specific necessarily, it may be simply observing sifting attention itself. But any kind of focus requires the devotion, so in essence devotion is what carries attention and/or focus. This is why devotion plays the significant role where ever we are into at any given flux or flow.

I would like to hear Angelo weigh in on our spiritual DNA, the five Buddha families and the five wisdoms. There has to be some understanding that the ‘relational self’ is defined fundamentally, albeit not as a self or any separate entity. Nonetheless, there is a Being that has unique transcendental characteristics that don’t vanish with awakening. These aspects just clarify

I haven’t watched everything in this playlist yet so maybe it comes up later, but have either of you ever read any Marcus Aurelius/Stoicism? I see a lot of similar concepts in Stoicism, but they’re stated much more plainly/less abstract. I think that might be a good beginning point for people are left confused by the more metaphysical way it’s talked about here.

It’s intentionally confusing. Google “deepity”, and you’ll find some insight as to why. I get the vibe from Angelo that he’s repeating things he’s heard/read from other gurus, but his lack of self awareness doesn’t allow him to see what he’s doing. He says he has no self, and that he never thinks and is always completely present, so it makes sense that he’d be completely bereft of self awareness. Can’t have self awareness without a self, right? But seriously, the confusing manner of speaking is done to make the listener believe that what the person is saying is just so profound that the listener can’t understand it with their unenlightened mind. And that lack of understanding and needing to understand drives the listener to purchase books and sign up for conferences, in an attempt to gain understanding. These are typically people who are terminally dissatisfied with life, who have intense FOMO, who can’t live in the present, and who spend all of their energy fantasizing about what will happen next.
@brettk7221 Жыл бұрын
If you haven’t had the first insight or awakening he’s talking about then this video will be very hard to understand. First shift is when an individual through inquiry or mediation sees through the illusion of a separate self. An analogy that might help: everything in reality is appearing on one screen(consciousness) but we as seeming individuals are just characters appearing temporarily on the screen and we “fall asleep” to that reality and we suffer and we seek because we think we are separate. First shift is when you see through that misunderstanding experientially and not just conceptually. The result is almost like a software upgrade and a large amount of the ambient suffering that a person feels is immediately gone..:this video is really geared towards people who have already had this experience and are fine tuning that understanding further.

I do hope that Dr DiLullo understands the honor/duty and duty/honor of teach/learning and learn/teaching. Like the paradox space/time and time/space, they are the same and they need discernment to be effective on the dualistic plane of existence before dissolving back into superposition in a higher dimension. Someone cannot learn without teaching just as someone cannot teach without learning.

Could it be that awakening is a psychotic break, and follow up experiences are “flashbacks” to within this “break” stage? But we interpret the psychosis within a spiritual or realization framework, rather than a psychological “tripping out”.
@SimplyAlwaysAwake3 жыл бұрын
Good question. An awakening is quite different from a psychotic episode. Psychotic episodes are characterized by disorganized behavior and speech, paranoia, hallucinations, inability to distinguish thoughts/perceptions from reality, difficulty with ADLs etc. Awakening is deeply peaceful, there are often few if any thoughts. There is a palpable interconnectedness and simplicity to everything. The most important point is that there is a deep sense of okayness that one has not previously experienced and it pervades all of ones experience for a period of time after the initial awakening. Psychosis is generally dysphoric, confusing, scary.

I’m dumbfounded by the belief that God is so selfish, jealous and cruel to anyone that explores what’s in front of them. Hate is created when anyone different or believes something different than you is wrong. What separates this viewpoint of God than what Hitler thought of the Jews? Nazi Germany. Follow me or else. What parent in the world that truly loved their child would even suggest such a thing? Jesus’ teachings are in almost complete opposition to the God of the Old Testament. He accepted everyone and acted through love, not hate and jealousy. There are almost 8 billion people on Earth, and each one has a different perspective and interpretation of life and spirituality. To send 60% of them to hell (those who aren’t Christians, which itself has hundreds of different denominations) is beyond hate, beyond evil and beyond cruel. I myself will take my beliefs in God over those interpretations of God any day.
