I’m amazed seeing congregations with gorgeous buildings and rich endowments that were planted about 100 years ago, from people committed to the gospel & preaching God’s Word faithfully. In their halls hang photographs of all their former pastors and founders. But today the organization is flying a rainbow inclusivity flag. How in the world did they come to this!?!? What happened? Abortion, according to the Bible, is not murder for the following reasons: 1) A fetus is not "a living being" (see Genesis 2:7). 2) Exodus 21:22-25 treats a fetus as property of the husband and not a full legal and moral person. The statute provides that in the event of a miscarriage of the fetus, the father determines the financial value of the loss because the fetus was seen as his property, and it was he who suffered the financial loss. If the fetus had been seen as a full legal and moral person, talionic justice would have applied to the death of the fetus as it did in the event of injury to the pregnant woman.
