Blitz, part of the reason your planet in the middle of two suns thing wasn’t working is that you were putting the planets into orbit so they were moving and moving planets tend to not stay in one place like you wanted them to. the other part is that they aren’t perfectly centered so they will still move away slowly but they will still work for a while instead of flying off into space immediately
@saints360row5 жыл бұрын
Well it didn't really work at all; it just temporarily appeared to be working. Remember that old saying "everything has an opposite & equal reaction"? Well, if those binary stars were placed equally apart without moving, placing a planet directly in the center would just cause said planet to rip apart. Also, nothing could ever be so still; you think our Sun is stationary? - It's also the main issue I have with time travel; if you were to travel one day in the past you would be where the Earth will be in 24hrs. And since we're all on a frictionless ice rink, supposedly accelerating away, there is no such thing as a stationary anything. Not to mention how mass affects time, and how the higher the mass the slower the relative, local time; therein how you need to account for length, hight, width & time [mass] to accurately predict the location around high mass items.

i don't think anything in the universe is stationary, everything is affected by gravity because it's all relative motion. from any frame of reference you could call it the center, but as soon as you change that reference frame, you will see that it is in fact in orbit as well. basically bodies don't orbit other bodies, it's more of a 3D see-saw, that goes in circles, all bodies orbit a common center point. this is why trying to make three bodies orbit a center point is so hard to do, it creates a triple pendulum sort of situation. very chaotic! I loved seeing the two solar system share a balance point. that was beautiful.
