I recently fractured and compressed my L1 vertebrae landing badly on the ground with my annular reserve. Just watching this video creeps me out. But, great video, nice to see people landing properly, i though it was only possible with rogallos :-)

War das ein Fun-Sicherheitstraining über festem Boden? Hattet ihr im Hinterkopf überlegt was ihr macht, wenn die Rettung nur halb öffnet? Dann gehts nämlich was schneller runter:-) Aber cool zu sehen wie man auch auf dem Boden landen kann. Senkrechtlander:-)

actually the emergency parachute (i really dont know how to call it.. english isnt my mother language) is just to save your life... you descend very fast though... you can break at leg or sth but you can keep your life safe... so his landing was hard but i guess hes alright

Answer: the red handle comes out, 2 when the red handle comes out the parachute pin comes out, 3 when the pin comes out the small drag chute comes out, then the parachute comes out ;-)

In skydiving, canopy entanglements are very dangerous... how do you keep the para gliding canopy from tangling with the reserve lines??

Because they don't have break handles.

In paragliding, we can't just cutaway. We launch the reserve outside the main canopy then pull the central riser to keep the main uninflated. I recognize it's a bit more risky, but in other hand we can fly and land safely with no more than 50% of the main canopy so it's ok.
