You mock what you obviously don’t understand. The fact there is little FCC enforcement isn’t because of widespread impotence of government or incompetent enforcement… it’s because society has been decent enough to understand we can’t all just be grabbing baofangs and broadcasting over each other’s frequencies. You mock HAM radio operators but they did a lot of hard work a century ago establishing the bands to play with now. We already had chaos during the “radio wars” of the 1920’s but FCC regulation actually helped solve that chaos. SOME regulation actually helps everybody. Your disrespect may be comical to the immature, stupid, and ignorant, but if you keep encouraging your uninformed audience members to break FCC law consistently as you have done for several years now, you’ll start getting complaints and the FCC will start ramping up enforcement and your unintelligent “humor” will cost everybody. PS. Not all regulatory enforcement comes from the FCC bonehead. The FCC is mostly administrative. The bands and baofangs you make money talking about only exist because of the very ham radio operators you mock.

I know people who have been using the Baofengs for 5 years or more while playing paintball or airsoft and they have never received anything kind of letter from the FCC asking them to stop. The only way the FCC can enforce their rules is to have someone on site because even if they get enough complaints the offenders will be gone by the time someone goes to investigate. Even if they talk to the field owner they won't be able to enforce anything since the field owner won't know what types of radios were being used and what frequencies were being used. I also know a little bit about the "some people" that you refer to in the video. At my old job there was a guy who recently got his ham license. He kept insisting that I get my license because he knew I was using the UV-5R for paintball and I would get a $250k fine and have my radios confiscated for using them without a license. I just blew him off every time and he eventually left me alone. I eventually did get my ham license, but not because of any threat of action by the FCC. I got it because I had been monitoring one of the local repeaters for about 6 months or so and one day they had a sever weather net when a nasty storm came through. Listening to the severe weather net made me make the decision to wait until the storm passed and go into work at the regular start time instead of going in early like I was thinking about doing that night.

A ham ticket is a fishing license. I could pass a tech exam on any given afternoon.. And so could most people with 25 minutes warning an a pamphlet to read. I think after your 4th drunken keying up weekend over Bob's long transmission, telling the story of his families trip to Texas, the fox hunt guys will come and poop on your car hood for sure. Then they will make sure the car is upside down. Even Hoffa feared the hams. I'm sure the FBI will call them the next terror group needing to be investigated for ... well.. being boring.

They tell you to get off and some will change the tone frequency to stop you. Using a repeater that is.

Without proper education, training and laws regarding these matters we end up with loss of that privilege. Look at the drone/R/C hobby. Ruined by idiots without training or respect for the general populace privacy or their safety. As a licensed Amateur radio operator, licensed R/C pilot, past licensed private pilot, licensed driver, I valued my education and passing tests to insure I was proficient in my skills. You're right of course. The FCC will likely do nothing. Partly because many amateur radio operators are taught to ignore the trolls and partly because of FCC bureaucracy. I'm guessing their enforcement works about as well as the ULS. Not very well and only occasionally.

Most of our government are do nothing pencil pushers. Ditto state governments. Let me put it this way, Michigan has a state EPA. The Federal government has an EPA. Neither of them prevented Flint Michigan's water from being toxic. And last I heard it was still not safe to drink. We could fire half the government and the only people who'd notice would be the unemployment offices.

Since I am now “The FCC”, and using my full authority as “The FCC” I grant full unadulterated use of the Free Airwaves to ALL! You can now tell all HAM operators you have permission from “The FCC” to use the radio of your choice for the transmission of your choice. Please pick your own call sign and turn on the Roger beep. I recommend you stay off Air, Marine and First responder frequencies. That is all “The FCC”
