But when you put that more accurate word into the classic Doctor Dolittle song, "If I Could Talk To the Animals,"* it doesn't have quite the same ring to it. So, we're left with "talk". 😁🤗👍 * = Academy award winner for best song for the original movie in the sixties. Great song. 😁🤗👍 Just looked it up. That's so true! I watch them while I'm doing Christmas prep (not sure how anyone can sit down and actually watch - I love them cos they require absolutely NO concentration whatever!) but even I have standards - I preview them (skip thru) to make sure they're bearable at least - it's part of my procrastination when getting around to Christmas prep: have to find a decent Christmas movie to get me thru this 😆

Perhaps “A Country COVID Christmas.” Angel Herdonhi, a nurse, is back home to refresh after an exhausting time on the front lines in her home town and doesn’t notice her hometown flame because they’re wearing masks. Or something. Action.

She kept not noticing the hot flame due to mask but one day he is jogging in a mask in the snowy small town downtown and passes out due to lack of oxygen, and she is the only medical person around, so she takes off his mask to assess his breathing and then sees his hotness and their eyes lock... right before he passes out again. He only saw her eyes because she was still wearing her mask, so then he is trying to find her and figure out who she is and she is doing the same, but they keep just barely missing each other.

Haha love it! I just watched one recently where the woman is an ice skater, has on off camera ankle injury, goes to rehab at a ski resort, her car gets stuck on the way there, hot backwoodsy man shows up, she is unexplainabley annoyed with him for wanting to help cuz THAT'S so attractive, and she insists on WALKING to the ski resort ( no visible limp but she's still injured) ....it gets better from there. 😂

Hallmark Christmas movies are just so comforting no matter how predictable. They are pretty, have warm colors, nice music. Just a winter hug in movie format.

Many of them are shot in the small town of Payson Utah. I tell you it's really weird to see our historic main street covered in fake snow and Christmas decorations in the summer.

Did you see one movie that was shot in Utah and they accidentally referred to the town as Salt Lake City when it was supposed to be somewhere like New York? Or one when they filmed a supposed subway line on the trax line? Love it all!!

@@brigittetodd9209 Yes! I try to see all of them filmed here. There was one Hallmark movie filmed here that was pretty bad. It was called something like Christmas Tree Lane. But I watched it to the end anyway. There is a little (I mean really little) dead end alley on Main Street that some how they always are able to make look really big and long with no dead end in sight. Movie magic I guess!

I think you guys give the "writers" too much credit (or not enough). Scripts are written by a computer: names, occupations, town locations (which all end up looking the same), family members, minor characters, plot points, etc. all have their own lists and which specific item on each list is decided by a random number generator.

There is literally a Christmas movie about Santa's son and female co-star who has an astrophysics job and her parents don't believe in santa. It's called Merry In-laws.

Santa isn't actually Santa at all, but some karate-kid guy the FBI put instead of Santa, who is at the witness-protection plan, after SETI intercepted a plan from Little Green Blobs from Alpha Centaury to hijack Santa and put a dummy from Roswell (but not Max, nor Liz!!) at his place. You see, it all began at the elections, when it was discovered that, in fact, Q Anon are the under-cover agents for the Andromeda Galaxy's chaps from "By Any Other Name", who decided to occupy Planet XYZ from Chaotica!! Now... wait... where was I going with this? ;-)) Anyhow, this is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more sensible, than ANY of hallmark's movie's dumb "misunderstandings", created solely in order to ad 12 wholly unnecessary minutes to the film. :-))

I know I say this for every Holderness video, but guys, “this one is special!!!” - It really is actually, out of so many awesome videos. Ack! - there are SO MANY great Holderness vids. The Holderni have more creativity in one of their little pinkies than all of Hollywood combined. And definitely the Hallmark Xmas Movie writers room (but maybe that’s not being fair - they’re pretty creative with only having five minutes to write each movie!)

It’s a joke. The worlds are intertwined. There’s a book out right now called “Marriage: how to fight” (or something) by some youtuber married couple / family that posts highly original family friendly comedy content. 😁

I think it's a comment on bookstores. No 1 buys physical books anymore so bookstores have to be coffee shops to stay open (and possibly become a gift shop as well). Most probably haven't survived Covid

If you thiught Christmas jammies was good the Holderness family knocks it out of the park with all their hallmark skits. That musical was amazing I can't believe penn wrote all the music it was brilliant and Kim playing the plastic hallmark Barbie us the best she has the best characterizations

Ah yes : The Town. I used to Live in a small city in British Columbia where they shoot a lot. This year alone 2020, 9 of the newest films used the old main street square and street. As far back as 2010 when I watched my first one actually being filmed. Thanks again Holderness Family
