Ah! I am falling behind on my videos. Wisdom looks amazing and I am sure it feels good to purge some of the "no longer necessary" goods cluttering her holds. Maddie, love the new short "do" and motherhood looks great on you. Stay well and stay happy. As always - from B-more with love

Boat purge, I remember doing it and kept saying, oh, I was wondering where this was and ah, I've been looking for this forever. and why am I storing this. For some reason purging for me is mentally satisfying. From the looks of it, good call on the new chainplates. Congratulations.

Internal chain plates to external chainplates seems to be a steady theme on sailing videos I watch. Designers of future cruising sailboats beware. The only advantage of internal chain plates is tighter sheeting angles for the headsails.
@RiggingDoctor7 ай бұрын
Which is great if you are racing to windward. For a cruiser, going upwind means you made a mistake in the route planning!
After a deep clean of my own beloved rig I appreciate these cleaning videos all the more! Love seeing wisdom again.

Sad fact...tonic water doesn't contain the same amount of quinine it use to. It's ineffective at preventing malaria nowadays. But..on the bright side, there's no harm in trying 😉 gin and tonic are delicious

Hey good to see you 2 oops 3 again. Aaahhhmmmmm Can I get you to clean my boat?🤣 I do love the bamboo work on the cabinet doors, I have the same old what ever it was called on mine now. They always look dirty.
@jerylabrams84087 ай бұрын
Hey Maddie & Herbie, I see a lil of Harry, he is getting big, and seems very content! Wisdom is looking good, but that cane work on those doors is perfect! Finding stuff that you accumulated for those years must have brought back memories for ya’s. She is a big boat, and hiding those treasures, priceless. I love your haircut and new color? You have a great facial structure for long and short hair. That would be something I would do when I am ready to chop it off. Great video, 👍😎⚓️⛵️🥰

Great to see you guys! Glad you're doing the cleanup maintenance on S.W. , the time comes when you have to. Re external chainplate change video - don't miss the opportunity for a sensationalist title to feed the mighty algorithm. Maybe "The real story on our ex's!" (external chainplates, that is) "Sailing ruined our internals" (internal chainplates that is) 8^) Cheers!

To rummage - to strip all the stuff out until the boat is empty. Supposedly an annual event for laying up but just how many seasonal sailors do it? For live aboards, well, just when is the right time?

You know it! There is no space to “put it somewhere else while you clean through a locker” and you are in perpetual use.

Gin And Tonic may be perfect for long distance sailors. It prevents malaria if you are in those regions. And it supports the insanity of long distance sailing. I'd never thought of it that way.
