We burnt out so hard masking for a year that we still haven't really recovered 5 years later and have just been unable to work or do anything at home in that time

So relatable, I burnt out like that after college, and stayed burned out for 4 years.

@@NeuroLushia what's bad is we need money for transition so bad we're considering getting a job at the same place and doing ridiculous amounts of overtime (open book thing, you can work as many extra hours as you want), even though we are still burnt out and this will absolutely make it worse but what else can we do

I have tourrette syndrome depression anxiety and am a former opiate addict and worked full time since I was 14 and now 38 with a great career house and everything I need and most of what I want. Doing nothing and having handouts is not the way and when there is a will there is a way. Never think of yourself as a victim and never let someone else trip you up over emotions. Everyone has problems and not everyone will be nice but just do you and focus on you and treat people as you wanna be treated and you will succeed. Workers have more rights and flexibility now than ever. The problem is the government is way too big, way too wasteful and forgot why they are there and who they serve. They've become tyrannical and are creating inflation that is not sustainable while outsourcing all of our manufacturing to adversarial countries who can easily destroy us by taking away 80% of our products especially RX like antibiotics. That is who you should be mad at, the government!

A ton of jobs? OK. For how many years total? And I mean add up all the days that were worked and you should have about 15 years solid. Then you should be able to collect. Because if we give all the people who have not put into the system disability then the people like me that have worked their whole life won't have nothing to retire on. I've been putting in since 1983 full time and part time since 1979. It pisses me off that soo many people are sucking off the tit of this finite bank account. By the time that it's my turn it will be gone.
