You never fail to impress nick well done buddy perhaps you can put your quality street in there come Christmas time
@stevendegonia2 жыл бұрын
The paper the tinfoil is on is technically made from wood, so woodturning is accurate, and since it is a woodturning project, The resin just stabilizes the paper and leeches the colours. Also, the sanding sealer could be used since the paper is there! Happy Days, Nick!
@juliebaker69692 жыл бұрын
It turned out WAY better than I expected it would. I was afraid the resin wouldn't get down between the layers of paper. Speaking of layers of paper, I think the insides of the colored balls looked like a cut open cabbage. It was such a neat effect.

Yep! Insane and wicked! Totally Awesome!

Nick zammeti bro loved the and im already subscribed but I had an idea for video that will interest you. Ok hear me out... do the same thing you did in this video but make the tin foil balls smaller & space them far apart from other tin foil bails in the resin.
@chux272 жыл бұрын
You should definitely do that again but make a big light out of it. The colours would look amazing. Put a moving LED strip in it and it would look like some sort of lava lamp
@anitajinfla97622 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing... A lava lamp. If there was a way to use metallic balls in it, the light coming through would be a pretty cool effect.

or guitar body. Kinda of a redundant idea since he has made a guitar body or two, but it would look cool with moving lights.

This turning is spectacular. The foil color is so rich with a really nice design. Using the foil was a brilliant idea, Nick. And now, you have a beautiful masterpiece. Thank you so much for demonstrating how you made this. This one is a great success.

Well how lovely to see this week's project is such a triumph! After your sad little face in the one that went pear shaped its a real pleasure to see you so happy again. When you make a block item that you then put on your turning machine there, I have always wondered why you don't cut the corners off with a saw to bring the rough shape closer to a circle before starting to turn it.
@AnnaVahtera2 жыл бұрын
Same here, was just going to comment on it. And it's not only him, multiple people on KZbin do it. My grandfather was a woodworker, and he always pointed out to cut the corners. "A minute lost on the saw, is ten minutes on the lathe." he used to say.
@nickzammeti2 жыл бұрын
I did take of the edges, you can make it round on the bandsaw but it’s just personal preference I guess . It’s not hard to shape it off on the lathe so I just do it on there . 😜🙏🏽🥰

@@nickzammeti Very cool. Was really just wondering. Love all the work. Also, if you revisit that colored foil one, what do you think about putting it through a paper shredder first? The sort of shredders that make little confetti out of paper.
