What Happens When a Dental Clinic is Abandoned?

In today’s video we venture into an abandoned dental clinic that closed down years ago, following the aftermath of a devastating hurricane that flooded the area, leaving everything in its wake untouched and preserved in time.
Intense hurricane flooding had ravaged the dental clinic years ago, leaving behind a haunting reminder of the power and brute force of mother nature. We could still see the molding drywall along the bottom of every interior wall, showcasing just how high the flood waters had gotten.
The once pristine dental clinic was now filled with molding exam rooms, rusty, broken down dental chairs, scattered tools and instruments, and water-stained paperwork - proving just how unforgiving mother nature can truly be.
Despite the destruction and amidst the chaos, there was a strange beauty within the decay and from all that was left behind due to the dentists sudden closure. Old crowns, dentures, and partials were scattered across the counters, dental equipment left forgotten about, and an eerie silence still hung in the air.
The abandoned dental clinic still stands today, a silent reminder of the often tragic losses that can stem from such a powerful storm.
In the video you will even see the “water lines” going around the entire bottom section of the dental clinic’s walls, where the moisture from the standing water has slowly turned to mold. Due to the interior damage caused by the tragic flooding, the dentist was forced to permanently close his business. With the mold continuing to spread, it is extremely unlikely that the dental clinic will be around for much longer. I'm surprised the Darvocet is still there...as well as some of the other items (needles). That should have e been donated to a dental school when it happened. I guess they consider it contaminated just for being inside a flooded property.

I think the burs are what's drilled into your jaw bone to attach your partials (dentures).

I started working with film in 2018 and now 2024 more offices use digital sensors they have almost completely did away with film

What a waste of supplies. They could have donated that to an organization for people that need their teeth 🦷 fixed, unless the supplies expired. Probably are expired besides I wouldn’t want dirty equipment in my mouth unless it’s sterilized
