What happens when Metals are burnt in Air || in Hindi for Class 10

In this Chemistry video in Hindi for Class 10 we explained one of the chemical properties of metals. We discussed on how metals react with oxygen when burnt in air. Reacting with oxygen metals produce metallic oxides. e.g., magnesium produces magnesium oxide, sodium produces sodium oxide, copper produces copper oxide etc.
2 Mg + 𝑶₂ → 2 MgO
2 Cu + 𝑶₂ → 2 CuO
4 Na + 𝑶₂ → 2 𝑵𝒂₂O
These metallic oxides are basic in nature as they react with acids and produce salt and water.
𝟐𝑯𝑪𝒍 +𝑪𝒖𝑶 → 𝑪𝒖𝑪𝒍₂ +𝑯₂𝑶
Some metal oxides show both acidic as well as basic behaviour. These metallic oxides are known as amphoteric oxides.
Al₂O₃ + 6HCl → 2AlCl₃ + 3H₂O
Al₂O₃ + 2NaOH → 2NaAlO₂ + H₂O
Most metal oxides are insoluble in water but some of these dissolve in water to form alkalis.
Na₂O (s) + H₂O (l) → 2NaOH (aq)
K₂O (s) + H₂O (l) → 2KOH (aq)
