Fellow Helicopter pilot here. Your chopper is a beaut! I am particularly a big fan of the Hughes 500, especially the D and E series, but also love the MBB Bo 105. I can vouch for Heavy D's comments on the hovering aspect. Once you learn how to do it, it's second nature, but sometimes you need the "Hover Fairy" to tap you on the head during your training and suddenly it all makes sense. Key is ...small inputs, don't stir the pot! It's like trying to balance a ball bearing on a sheet of glass. You also want to avoid dynamic rollover at all costs as if it happens and you pass the COG then your probably not coming back from that.... flying a Heli is harder than it looks, believe me. Heavy D, You have an amazing range of skills! I only discovered your channel a week ago and I have been watching what you do. Amazing work and great quality video's. Cheers from Oz

Being a private pilot myself, I extremely loved this video man. I fly mainly Cessna 182's with the CAP AirForce auxiliary. We do search and rescue, damage assessment, reconnaissance. You explained everything very thoroughly and professionally, you fr could be an awesome instructor. Helicopters have a lot of the same round dial(steam gauges) that fixed wing planes have, more than I thought! I'm used to G1000 system with a few backup round dials. Do they make a Garmin 1000 or foreflight for helicopters that you know of? One of my dreams was to be a medivac pilot but didn't persue it because of the hour requirement you need to have would take forever and tons of money without joining military. One day I'm going to get my heli license and own a helicopter, for sure. Keep it up Heavy D team. Y'all guys are down to earth and just plain awesome.

Look up Charlie Zimmerman and what he could do with it.

Mate, just awesome. I never comment on videos but this is great. I was the youngest person to fly solo around the world in a single fixed wing, that went well but I then survived a bad crash after an engine failure on takeoff in a vintage biplane. Diagnosed a paraplegic, I managed to get back to walking somewhat okay, back to certain fixed wing flying but learnt to fly choppers as an incomplete paraplegic. I love rotary. This video will inspire a new wave of pilots. I’d love to bring the Super Cub across from Nashville and say g’day. Do you live near the Patey’s?
